Chapter 959

The unexpected call exasperated Jay.

He had toiled relentlessly for decades and used his money to build an underground intelligence

network.

Yet now, he was using it to help James run errands without even seeing a single penny.

“I’ll update you tomorrow,” Jay replied reluctantly.

“Tomorrow’s too late. I’ll give you half a day,” James demanded coldly.

Jay grimaced and contemplated for a moment. Investigating a company’s employees would not be

difficult. It was not too hard to complete it in half a day.

“I’ll do my best to give you a result by tonight.

“James, it costs money if I’m to inquire about information. Every piece of information is bought with

money…”

“Are you asking me for money?”

“Throw me a bone, won’t you? It’s starting to be hard for me to maintain operations.”

“Fine. Put it on my tab for now and will settle it at a later date.” James hung up the phone.

Scarlett waited until James hung up the phone. Then, she asked, “What do we do now, James?”

James tented his hands. “We’ll hold down the fort for now. Wait for the investigation results to confirm

there isn’t a mole in our midst before taking action.”

“Understood. Then, I’ll return to my work for now,” Scarlett replied with a nod.

James allowed her to leave. “Alright.”

Scarlett turned and left.

James sat on the office chair and allowed his thoughts to fill his head. Then, he got up and left.

He had to put Messiah Corporation’s issue on hold for the time being. Right now, he wanted to go to

Medical Street and ask Thea about Quincy’s whereabouts again. Scarlett was barely hanging on when

it came to managing the company and desperately needed help.

Quincy had business acumen for days and could surely take control of the situation if she returned.

James took a taxi and headed to Medical Street.

Medical Street clamored with activity.

Since the last medical conference, Universal Hospital had not made any major moves, while

Centennial Corporation grew rapidly in that time.

Thea had become the new genius doctor because of James.

Many renowned doctors throughout Cansington and even Sol wanted to be apprenticed under Thea for

a chance at being taught by James.

Century Hospital had reached the same level as Herbal Biotech because countless famous doctors

had joined its board. Additionally, Thea obtained ten billion dollars and used the money to develop the

hospital.

It was a rough day for Medical Street as Universal Hospital was causing a commotion.

Universal Hospital issued a challenge to all the clinics and hospitals on the street for the right to

continue doing business. If they refused to participate, they were suppressed using physical violence.

Outside Century Hospital…

Jonathan was sitting outside on a chair. Behind him were Lucas and many other doctors from Universal

Hospital.

Yadriel, Bjorn, and Moses led a group of renowned doctors as they stood in front of Century Hospital'snovelbin

entrance.

Soon, the Callahans arrived.

Seeing Thea approaching, Century Hospital’s doctors brightened up with smiles.

Bjorn quickly approached her and said, “Thea, you’re finally here! Where’s James? Quickly, get him

here. Universal Hospital is here to evict us from Medical Street. Without James, we won’t be a match

for them.”

“Yes, Thea. We know he’s been by your side all this while. Hurry, call him!”

“Universal Hospital is nothing in the face of James’ skills.”

Many doctors urged Thea to contact James.

The only reason they became Thea’s disciples despite her complete lack of medical skills was because

of her relationship with James. They all wanted a chance to learn from James.

However, James had never once shown up before.

Naturally, they were not able to polish their techniques under his guidance either.

Their desire to leave Century Hospital mounted as time passed.

Thea looked at the unfriendly group of people from Universal Hospital and walked over. She stared at

Jonathan and said coldly, “Jonathan, didn’t you say that you’d get out of Sol and never show your face

again here after losing?”

“Yes, I did.”
