Chapter 2255

Quintina recovered from her initial shock after a few seconds, and her face darkened.

“Do you find my misery entertaining, James? Who do you think you are? Do you think you’re themost powerful man in this world?”

“I’m not lying, I really can help your father.”

“That’s enough. Stop using my issues as a way to kill time. You’re Sir Yoan’s disciple, so I’ll overlookthis for now, but don’t think I’ll take it lying down if you continue being impertinent.”

Quintina did not believe James.

How would a young man like James be able to do anything about the Demonic Energy that plaguedher father when even he, himself was unable to treat it on his own?

“It’s late, don’t wander around. There are many guards on Mount Trinvard. You might get mistakenfor an assassin. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

After speaking, Quintina turned around and left.

“I’m serious about helping him.”

James reached out his hand to grab Quintina’s.

However, he was greeted by a powerful palm attack.

James quickly dodged into the distance to avoid the attack. Then, he said gloomily, “Do you reallynot believe me?”novelbin

Quintina replied coldly, “It’s not that I don’t want to believe you, James... But do you even know whatDemonic Energy is? Do you know who my father is? Do you not know of my father’s strength? Even

despite teaming up with our clan’s many elders, they couldn’t dispel the Demonic Energy! Yet,you’re telling me you can do it? Do you take me for a gullible toddler?!”

Since Quintina would not believe him, James had no other choice.

The Divinity Sect’s leader, the Divine Holy Emperor, stood in a different courtyard at the samemoment.

He had been notified that tomorrow’s match was postponed.

Sitting in the yard, he thought, ‘Has Farley reached his limit? After being tormented by DemonicEnergy for so many years, it’s about time for him to kick the bucket. If he’s really about to die, thenit’ll be the perfect opportunity to destroy the Ancient Clan. Without Farley, the Ancient Clan’s elderswon’t be able to do anything.’

He thought to himself and started making plans to destroy the Ancient Clan.

He quietly stepped out of the protective formation encircling the Ancient Clan’s mountain andsecretly transmitted some signals.

After doing all this, he quietly snuck away.

The Ancient Clan was not aware the Divine Holy Emperor brought his disciples into their territory fora different purpose.

His goal was not just to bring his disciples to compete for a spot to enter the Pagoda of Flames butalso to test the Ancient Clan’s strength. He wanted to use this opportunity to wipe out the entireAncient Clan at once. After the Ancient Clan was gone, the Welkin Academy would be his finaltarget.

Meanwhile, James was still trying to persuade Quintina.

However, Quintina refused to believe him no matter what he said.

“Ms. Quintina, why don’t you believe me? You guys can’t do anything about his condition anyway,so why don’t you just let me try? What if I’m able to do something?”

Hearing this, Quintina fell into deep thought.

After contemplating for a while, she looked at James and said, “Alright, I’ll trust you for now andbring you to see my father.”

In fact, she still did not believe James.

However, she was left with no other options. Thus, she decided to wager her last shred of hope onJames.

Quintina led James up Mount Trinvard and returned to Farley’s seclusion sanctuary.

“Why did you come back?”

As soon as they reached, Farley’s feeble voice called out to them.

James was shocked when he saw Farley sitting in a lotus position inside the cave, surrounded byDemonic Energy.

Just then, the cells in his body began thrumming actively and his blood started to roil after beingstimulated by the Demonic Energy released into the surroundings.

“Quintina, wait outside.”

After James took a deep breath, he dismissed Quintina.

Farley looked at James and sputtered, “Quintina, who’s this man?”
