Chapter 2160

Seeing James come out, she walked over and asked, “How did it go, James? Did you have anyluck?”

James shook his head slightly and said, “Nope. I wandered around the grotto for a long time but feltlike I was getting disorientated by the paths, so I didn’t dare to venture any deeper. In the end, Iturned back.”

“It’s alright.”

Laelia smiled and consoled him, “Since ancient times, many of my family members have come tothe grotto, but none of them found their trip fruitful. Since we didn’t find anything, let’s head back.”

James nodded. “Alright.”novelbin

He did not say anything about the Gorger because he did not want to cause a fuss.

With Yuliana leading the way, James and Laelia left the grotto. Soon, they returned to the village.

Sylvester waited in the village this whole time.

Seeing them return, he walked over and asked with a gentle smile, “How did it go? Did you two findanything?”

Laelia gently shook her head and sighed, saying, “We were unsuccessful.”

Sylvester said with a smile, “Although it’s said there are great boons in the grotto, it can’t be helpedif you’re unable to find them. Perhaps this isn’t the right time for it. When the moment is right, theseboons will naturally reveal themselves.”

As a Targwyn, he was sure there were many fortunes within the grotto.

However, there was not much they could do if they could not find it.

He turned to James and asked cheerfully, “What about you, Mr. Caden?”

James shrugged and said, “I had no luck either.”

Sylvester continued looking at James with a smile.

His smile made James feel guilty.

‘Does he possibly know something?’ James thought to himself.

However, he kept his mouth shut.

Sylvester held his cane and stroked his beard. Then, he said nonchalantly, “This place is ourfamily’s ancestral land. There’s a myth in our family that an unrivaled powerhouse existed at acertain point in history. His strength was said to be the greatest in the world at that time.”

Sylvester’s lips held a smile the whole time.

James could not understand what his words meant.

“We’ll take our leave first, Sir Sylvester.”

Laelia bid farewell with a smile.

Sylvester nodded. “Alright.”

Laelia did not stay longer and led James away.

Sylvester and Yuliana sent them off to the village entrance and watched them leave.

Shortly after, the smile on Sylvester’s face gradually disappeared and was replaced with a bitterexpression.

“Grandpa.”

Yuliana parted her lips and said softly, “There are some abnormal fluctuations with the formation.”

Sylvester nodded slightly and said, “Since something has changed, it must have been brought forthby a corresponding action. The Karma of getting involved in our family matters may come back tobite him someday.”

He uttered some very profound words.

Yuliana questioned, “What exactly did he get from the grotto, Grandpa?”

Sylvester uttered quietly, “Everything in this universe is fated. All of this was destined to happensince time immemorial. Yuliana, the village no longer needs to be protected anymore. I’ll take youaway from this miserable place.”

“Alright, Grandpa.”

Although Yuliana did not quite follow, she chose to not ask any questions.

At that moment, James and Laelia had already left the island in the beast carriage. After passingthrough several formations, they appeared above the ocean again.

Sitting in the beast carriage, Laelia asked, “Will you be leaving after you obtain the food, James?”

James nodded and said, “Yes. I’ve been away from Earth for a while and I have no idea what’sgoing on there. I’ll have to go back as soon as possible.”

With a bright smile, Laelia said, “You should head back first, James. When the seal is completelyopen, the Land of Tabal will merge with Earth. When that happens, our worlds will be one and thesame. I can actually pass through the seal now, but the ones on Earth right now are arrogantpowerhouses. I will only die in vain if I go now. It’s best for me to stay safe in the Land of Tabal.”
