Many Outsiders were gathered outside the city.
They stopped in their tracks upon seeing James draw closer and cleared the way for him. Standingon either side of James’ path, they began to talk about him.

“Some time ago, he violently killed someone in the city and angered the Deputy City Lord, the Sonof Heaven. He was instructed to plead guilty to his crime at the City Lord’s Mansion within threedays if he wanted them to spare his life. If he didn’t they were going to kill him.”

James strode toward the city gate as the group of Outsiders gossiped about him.
He ignored them and remained calm.
Soon, he arrived at the city gate.
The guards on duty were delighted to see James.
“Are you here to plead guilty to your crime, James?”
“Since you’re here to plead guilty, you may enter the city and head to the City Lord’s Mansion onyour knees.”
“No, you should climb from under my crotch.”
One of the guards spread his legs.
James glanced at these guards calmly. However, the quiet energy he exuded was intimidating.
Sensing his terrifying energy, the guards sensibly shut their mouths and let James into the citywithout further harassing him.
After James entered the city, he instantly became the center of attention.
Many people followed him all the way to the City Lord’s Mansion.
James arrived at the City Lord’s Mansion in less than ten minutes after entering the city. Theluxurious mansion was enormous and extravagant. In front of the mansion’s gate were two majestic,giant dragon statues.
Many guards stood at the door.
When James approached, he was immediately blocked off.
James did not act recklessly when obstructed by the City Lord’s Mansion guards. He said calmly,“My name is James Caden. I’m here to see the City Lord.”
“Wait here.”
One of the guards glanced at James coldly and went in to report his visit.
James waited patiently at the mansion’s gate.
After waiting a few minutes, a group of people walked out of the mansion.
The person in the lead was a handsome young man dressed in a golden robe with a crown on hishead.
“Tristen!”
“It’s Tristen! It’s Tristen!!!”
“He’s so handsome! I love him! I’m so in love!”
Women’s screams could be heard coming from the distance.
The extravagant man walking in the forefront smiled and waved to the screaming women in thedistance.
“Oh my god! Did you see that? Did you see Tristen smiling at me?”
“Nonsense! He was obviously smiling at me.”
“Please, he was clearly smiling in my direction.”
Some of the women bickered among themselves.
