Chapter 2050

James was ecstatic.

After spending all that time and effort, he finally surpassed the Eighth Inner Gate. Now, he onlyneeded the strengthen himself up to the Eighth Inner Gate’s peak. Then, he would be capable ofchallenging the ninth barrier’s defender in the celestial abode.

James quickly got up and walked toward the custodian.

The custodian turned around, and a robe appeared in her hands. She passed it to James.

James realized the flames had completely burned away his clothes. With an embarrassedexpression, he took the clothes handed over by the custodian and said, “Thank you.”

He quickly got dressed.

The traditional robe fit him very well.

The custodian turned to face him and nodded. Her pretty face was satisfied as she said, “Yes, verygood. You’re cultivating much faster than I expected.”

James could not help asking, “How long has it been since I came to this ancient battlefield?”

He was focused on cultivating and lost track of time. Therefore, he had no clue how long hadpassed.

The custodian replied, “It hasn’t been that long. Only two years have passed.”

“What?! It’s already been two years?”

James was startled.

If two years had passed, that meant there was only four more years until the seal would be opened.

The custodian was able to deduce James’ thoughts and said with a smile, “Don’t worry. Earth’s sealwon’t open so easily. Even when the time comes, plenty of conditions still have to be met to open it.”

Hearing this, James heaved a sigh of relief.

“Alright. You should continue cultivating here for the time being. You should be able to leave thispalace by next month or at most two months from now,” said the custodian.

“Alright.” James nodded.

Then, he turned back to look at the flames behind him.

The white flames made his heart race. During this period, he went through so much that it almostfelt like he was dying. Fortunately, his body was different from an ordinary person’s. He would havebeen burned to death if he still had a regular body.

To get stronger and obtain the Celestial Abode, James pulled out all the stops.

He strode toward the flames again.

Instead of entering the flames immediately, he lingered close to them and absorbed the vigorousenergy contained in them to increase his True Energy.

His True Energy gradually grew stronger, and soon he felt it could no longer increase anymore. Then, he used the white flames to refine his True Energy.

Once, twice, ten times, a hundred times…novelbin

He repeated the refining process.

After refining his True Energy, he would condense it.

After condensing his True Energy, he felt it had become more intense compared to before.

Although his current rank was only at the Supernatural’s Eighth Inner Gate’s peak, the strength ofhis True Energy was tremendous. His True Energy’s strength alone would allow him to be equallymatched with a Herculean and perhaps even take one down.

After reaching the Eighth Inner Gate’s peak, James' training came to an end.

The custodian teleported him out of the ancient battlefield.

Soon, they returned to the Chamber of Scriptures’ lowest level.

James wanted to see Thea and talk to her. It had been many years since Thea had come to theChamber of Scriptures.

“Miss, can I see and talk to Thea?”

“Not yet.”

The custodian said, “She’s in the last stage of purifying her Demonic Energy and can’t be disturbedright now. Don’t worry too much about her. It’ll take five years at most for Thea to completely purifythe Demonic Energy in her body. When the time comes, Thea’s Supreme Spiritual Root will unleashits true potential, and you’ll see that her cultivation base has improved exponentially.”

“Alright.”

James was disappointed he could not speak to Thea.

However, he was relieved that Thea would be fine.

“I’ll escort you outside.”

The custodian casually waved her hand, and her True Energy enveloped James’ body. In the blinkof an eye, James appeared on the tower’s first floor.

James scanned the tower’s first floor for a while, then quickly departed.

“With my current strength, I should be able to defeat the ninth barrier’s defender in the CelestialAbode, right? I wonder if anyone has claimed the Celestial Abode in these past two years?”
