Chapter 1974

Delainey murmured and did not say anything more.

The plane soared through the sky quickly and soon landed in Lothian.

Lothian was a country established by the Prince of Orchid Mountain.

The country was also run by an absolute autocracy where the emperor had full control.

After the two alighted the plane, they headed directly to the Lothian Palace.

When they reached the palace gates, Lothian guards barricaded their path.

“State your identities. The palace is off-limits to outsiders.”

Delainey stood up and said, “I’m Delainey from Wyrmstead. I’ve got an important matter to discusswith His Majesty.”

The guard looked at Delainey and said, “Wait here. I’ll go and report your visit.”

The two waited patiently at the palace gates.

At that moment, Langston was lying feebly in bed inside a room in the Lothian Palace’s backyard. His face was pale, and he was breathing very weakly.

Tyrus mobilized his True Energy to treat Langston’s injuries.

After a while, he stopped.

“Father.”

Tyrus said worriedly, “Your injuries have worsened again. We can’t just wait idly. We have to find away to heal your injuries as soon as possible. Otherwise, your life is going to be in grave danger.”

“Huff,” Langston heaved a sigh.

It had been six months since he sustained these injuries.

Tyrus had constantly been using his True Energy to prolong Langston’s life in the past six months. However, doing so merely meant extending his life and not treating the injuries.

He was aware of the severity of his injuries.

If no cure was found soon, he was going to die.

Langston sat up with difficulty.

Tyrus immediately helped to prop him up.

Langston leaned on the bed and asked, “By the way, what has Xandra been up to these days?”novelbin

Tyrus replied, “The Empyrean Spiritual Energy on Earth has been revived. She has keen sensesand left saying she’d find a magical item to treat your injuries.”

“How’s her condition?” asked Langston.

Tyrus said, “She’s quite stable. As long as she doesn’t use her True Energy, she won’t becomedemonized.”

Langston said worriedly, “Her condition is the same as Thea’s. I’m not afraid to die, but I’m worriedabout her. She has suffered a lot in these long years.”

At that moment, there was a knock on the door.

Tyrus walked over and opened the door.

A guard knelt on the ground and said respectfully, “Reporting! A man and woman have shown upoutside. The woman claimed to be Wyrmstead’s Delainey and requested an audience with HisMajesty.”

“Oh? Delainey?”

Tyrus was slightly surprised and said, “I’ll see her.”

After speaking, he turned to Langston and said, “Father, some people from Wyrmstead have cometo visit. I’ll go and meet with them.”

“Go ahead.” Langston gently waved his hand.

Tyrus turned and left.

Soon, he arrived outside the palace.

He instantly spotted a man and woman chatting joyously. When he saw the man’s appearance, hewas dumbstruck.

Fearing that he was hallucinating, he rubbed his eyes.

“James?”

With a shocked expression, he walked over and took James' hand, exclaiming excitedly, “Is it reallyyou, James? You’re still alive!”

“Mhm, Uncle,” James greeted him.

“Haha! Kid…”

Tyrus laughed ecstatically and patted James’ shoulder. He said excitedly, “I knew you wouldn’t dieso easily!”
