Chapter 4

The previously empty VIP hospital room was now filled with people. “It’s strange. I just saw the vitalsign data fluctuating and heard the alarming noise. How did it return to silence?” Charles said, slightly annoyed. “Based on the displayed data, Mr. Fischer’s brainwaves did react just now. Thissituation is very rare,” said Dr. Smith. “Today, I was planning to find some singing videos for Mr.Fischer. He must have reacted to an audio in one of them!” Wilson quickly opened his phone andwent to the Youtube page, finding the audio that had just played. Dr. Smith took the phone and sawone strange account, the blogger’s profile picture was a small microphone symbol. The accountname was simple, just “Melody Maestro.” Dr. Smith clicked on other audios on Melody Maestro’shomepage, and the previously stable machine once again emitted beeping alarm sounds. “Thisgirl’s voice can stimulate Mr. Fischer’s brainwaves! This is the first time in three years that Mr.Fischer has reacted to external sounds.” “Find her and take her to Mr. Fischer’s side. Talk to Mr.Fischer every day. Maybe it can wake him up,” said Dr. Smith. ………… Elisa was awakened by thevibration of her phone. When she woke up, she realized that she had been sleeping next to hermother’s hospital bed all night. She opened her phone and saw that it was a call from Olivia. “Get toSt. Paul’s Cathedral within an hour, remember the promise you made to my mom, or else you canforget about getting the rest of the money.” Before Elisa could reply, Olivia had already hung up thephone. Elisa knew St. Paul’s Cathedral, the most respected and admired church in New York.Registering for a wedding here required at least six months of advance booking. Elisa wassurprised that the family could arrange a wedding at St. Paul’s Cathedral so quickly. She quickly gotup to freshen up and double”checked that she looked presentable before leaving the house. As shewalked to the hospital downstairs and got into her second”hand car that she bought two years ago,Elisa suddenly noticed a bunch of YouTube notifications on her phone. Upon opening them, shediscovered a series of follow, subscribe, and tip prompts. She found that one of her fans hadsubscribed to YouTube Premium. A user with a red profile picture and no nickname had sent herSuper Thanks for every video she had posted. And not just one, but a hundred of them… Elisa feltconfused and quickly realized that her paying fan had sent her a Super chat, asking for her phonenumber without introducing himself or stating his purpose. Elisa, of course, didn’t respond to such a

risky message and immediately added the person to her blacklist. St. Paul’s Cathedral was far fromthe city center. Elisa rushed there as fast as she could. When she finally arrived, Olivia and Suelenwere already waiting for her at the main entrance. Suelen let out a sigh of relief upon seeing Elisa.Olivia was angry. How dare this bitch make them wait for so long! Olivia rubbed her sore feet fromwearing high heels. Today, Elisa was the bride, but Olivia had purposely dressed herself moredazzlingly to outshine her. But when the mother and daughter arrived at the church, they were toldthey had to wait for the bride before they could enter. So the two of them had no choice but to standat the entrance and wait. When Elisa approached them, the mother and daughter gave her adisdainful glance and then turned to walk towards the entrance of the church. A middle”aged man ina black suit approached them and glanced at the three of them before politely smiling at Elisa,“Excuse me, are you the bride, Miss Samers?” Elisa nodded politely, “Please follow me, thecosmetologist is already waiting for you.” After Elisa left with the middle”aged man, Olivia stompedher foot in anger. “Mom, what’s the deal with that family? Weren’t they supposed to be someinsignificant small family? How did they manage to book St. Paul’s Cathedral so quickly?” “Bookinga church ain’t that big a deal, just chill, sweetheart. Country bumpkin’s still a country bumpkin.” Alsothere are many doubts in her mind, Suelen maintained a disdainful and contemptuous expressionon her face. “Indeed,” Olivia agreed. “A person who has been in a vegetative state for many years iscertainly not someone of significance!”novelbin
