Chapter 1892

After catching his breath for a while, Ian took his phone to see a call from Aurora. When his breath wasfinally even, he returned the call.

On the other hand, Aurora picked up the call in a blink of an eye and asked immediately, “Why didn’tyou pick up just now?”

Ian clicked his tongue. “I didn’t notice just now. What’s wrong? Did anything happen?”

Aurora sighed. “Something happened. I wanted to ask if you guys are home so that I can go over.”

Ian turned around and glanced at Cindy. Right then, he knew that Cindy wouldn’t have any energy leftin her to deal with Aurora.

If Aurora saw Cindy in this situation, she’d know what happened, even if he made up some excuses forwhat happened.

Since Cindy would get embarrassed easily, she wouldn’t be able to handle it if Aurora found out, so Ianrejected Aurora. “We are not at home right now since we’re both out. Can’t you tell me about it on thephone?”

Nevertheless, Aurora didn’t try to gauge if Ian was lying or telling the truth and went straight to the pointinstead. “It’s not really that important, though. Ms. Hannah gave me a call just now and told me thatYulia gave her some resources, so she wanted to hand me some and asked me to go to the companyto have a chat with her.”

Ian was taken aback. “Yulia had a discussion with Hannah?”

Aurora hummed in agreement before she sighed lightly. “Ms. Hannah told me that Yulia introduced herto some excellent support and wanted to share them with me, but she suddenly asked if I knew Yuliapersonally over the phone just now.”

She didn't know what to reply to Hannah, as she didn't want to share what happened between Ian andYulia. Since Hannah asked, it meant that Yulia didn't tell her the entire truth, so Aurora didn't dare tosay anything.

Upon hearing that, Ian chuckled, as Yulia was too stubborn. She was so stubborn that he felt repulsed.Normally, a man would be somewhat touched if the woman was stubborn in a relationship, but all Ianfelt was annoyance when it came to Yulia.

He felt objectified, and she was so shamelessly relentless that it was starting to obstruct his life. Still,Ian couldn't reject Yulia outright. She had dragged Hannah into this, and Hannah would surely noticethat something was wrong if he refused Yulia crudely.

Not wanting to cause more problems, he told Aurora to go to the company to have a talk with Hannah. novelbin

“If Ms. Hannah really outsourced the resources to you, it would be fine for you to take it since it wasgiven by the company instead of Yulia directly, so it’d be just like working for the company as usual.Nevertheless, if Ms. Hannah mentioned Yulia, you can reject her and tell her that you don’t think thatyou’ll be able to handle it.”

Aurora pondered for a moment and agreed. “I’ll go back to the company and see what’s going on. I’lltell you about it after I talk to Ms. Hannah.”

“Alright.” Then, the call ended.

Initially, Ian was feeling tired and wanted to nap together with Cindy for a while. However, he wascompletely awake by the end of the call and lost all his urge to sleep.

Grabbing his coat, Ian headed to the living room before lighting his cigarette. While the smoke startedswirling around him, he couldn’t help but recall when he met Yulia in the past.

Right then, Ian couldn’t tell if he remembered things wrongly, but he vaguely recalled meeting Yulia in abar. Back then, Ian was a singer in a bar, and Yulia was probably a customer that had given him hername card after deciding that he was good at singing.

Still, he didn’t take her seriously and threw the name card after thanking her. He had received manyname cards back when he was still a bar singer, and a lot of them claimed they were celebrity scoutsthat wanted to recruit him.

Nevertheless, Ian had no plans to enter the entertainment field as Aurora used to work in theentertainment field in the past, and he was happy with the freedom he had at that time.
