Chapter 1884

Before Linda could finish her words, the door was open just when Hannah and Aurora stepped out ofthe meeting room. As soon as they came out, they immediately recognized Linda and Cindy.

Aware of the drama that previously went on between Linda and Ian, Aurora paused and looked atCindy. “Cindy, are you alright?”

While Aurora was worried that Cindy might be bullied, the latter kept herself together and replied,“Yeah, I’m fine.”

In the meantime, Hannah glared at Linda with a stern look that intimidated the latter. Then, she askedin a rigid tone, “What are you doing here?”

Knowing that Hannah was asking, Linda answered, “I just happened to pass by here.”

Hannah sized her up and replied, “You need to behave yourself, even though you don’t have a job towork on at the moment.”

While Linda licked her lips and expressed her acknowledgment, Hannah jutted her chin as a gesture totell her to leave. However, not long after Linda took two steps forward, Hannah said, “Forget aboutwhatever ‘bright ideas’ you have in your mind. You don’t want anything to go wrong, considering yourcurrent position. So, behave yourself.”

Linda paused in silence and walked away as Hannah turned her attention to Cindy and spoke with agentle voice. “Come in, Cindy. Let’s talk.”

Upon nodding to Aurora, Cindy entered the meeting room as she was told. Deep down, she knew

Hannah would treat her nicely because the latter wanted to keep her right after she revealed herintention to resign and find another job. After all, her association with Ian could jeopardize the man’scareer if she made a wrong move.

As soon as they entered the meeting room, Hannah said, “I heard from Ian that you found a new job.”

Cindy replied with an affirmative hum and went to answer firmly, “Ian’s filming is about to begin, and I’mleft with quite a lot of free time, so I’m thinking of doing something productive.”

Well, Hannah didn’t say that I couldn’t do what I liked. She is only just asking me about the subsequentjobs that Ian is going to take up and what my future plans are.

Hannah would have been angry if she was discussing the matter with some other assistant, but sincethere had been a lot on Ian’s plate lately, she could see why Cindy wanted to resign.

After all, Cindy put up with a lot of scolding because of the incident that revolved around Ian, not tomention her earlier visit to the Morgan Residence so that she could take care of the mess.

Knowing Cindy’s fixed pay wasn’t worth all the risk she was taking, Hannah knew she deserved to becompensated with more than just money, even though she did receive some monetary reward for heroutstanding performance.

Besides that, Cindy had also become the netizens’ attack online due to the earlier incident, but Hannahreckoned her easy-going character might have kept her from following those negative comments.

Therefore, Hannah was still satisfied with Cindy’s performance, thinking it wasn’t necessary for Ian toget a new assistant, especially now that both of them were a ‘couple’. For that, she didn’t think

replacing Ian’s assistant was a good idea.

Cindy pursed her lips and said, “I talked to Ian about this, and we’ll look into his schedule right after hereturns from his filming. If it isn’t too packed, both of us can work on it and see how it goes. No matterhow it plays out, the management can rest assured, knowing that the two of us will continue to workaround his role.” novelbin

Hannah nodded. “Great. The management would love to keep your position while you will receive yourpay as usual. Besides, you won’t need to be by Ian’s side all the time but must continue to act as hisgirlfriend for the time being.”

Meanwhile, Cindy understood what Hannah was referring to but didn’t appear to be concerned aboutacting as Ian’s girlfriend. After all, they would just be themselves. Thus, Cindy went ahead and toldHannah everything on her mind because there was nothing too complicated.
