Logan asked Ian to take a look at the Internet, since Leah’s news had gone viral. Some guy had postedphotos of her lying half-naked on the street. However, she was old and had lost her appeal, so thecomments were really doubling down on the body shaming.
Ian refused to look. He didn’t care how great someone else’s body was; he just did not want to look atthem. After all, he had a girlfriend to take care of his needs. “I see.” He grunted, then he continued, “Imight have to leave soon, so let’s get together if we still can.” He would have to start working on ashow after this. His schedule wasn’t packed, but it was still full, so he had no idea when he would havetime to gather with his friends again.
Logan knew what he was getting at. Now that the furore was nearing its end, it was time for Ian to putwork back on track. He proposed, “Okay. See you in two days at my place then. We’ll skip the club thistime.”
“Sure,” Ian said, then he hung up without elaborating.
Still wanting Ian to see the photos, Logan decided to send a ton of them right after the call ended. Theywere all photos of Leah lying on the streets, tied up and half-naked.
Ian shook his head. God, what the heck is this? Leah would usually look dazzling, but that was onlybecause of her clothes and accessories. Without those, she was nothing. Ian tossed the phone ontothe couch and went to the kitchen.
Cindy was working pretty fast, since she was only making ramen. She was already done when Iancame in. He took a bowl and huddled closer to her.
Cindy pulled a face. “Enough. Stay away from me.”
Ian stared down as she ladled the ramen out, then he took the bowls to the dining table. “Toss me awayafter you have had enough of me, huh?”
Cindy took a deep breath. Wow, he’s really dialing up the perversion lately. He experimented with a lotof new positions, and now he talks like a pervert too. Dirty boy.
Ian put the cutlery down and went to call his mother out. Aurora was refreshed and lying in her room,reading the gossip online. Naturally, she saw Leah’s news, and when she came out, she asked Ian,“Did you see the news? God, she’s so flabby all over. My eyes hurt just from looking at her.”
Ian laughed. “Logan sent me the pics. I took a glance, and my eyes almost hurt too. It was unbearable.”
Cindy came over. “What’s the news? Let me see.”
Aurora would naturally oblige now that Cindy had asked. Her phone was already showing Leah’s news,so she showed it to Cindy. “Here you go. It’s hilarious.”
Cindy took a look, and she frowned. “Um, this is just…” This is just embarrassing. Look at thebystanders, laughing at her. Cindy shook her head. “Mr. Morgan is really going to be livid about this.”
The Morgan Family was already infamous to begin with, and now with Leah’s scandals and her latestnews, it was making matters worse.
Aurora took her phone back. “He deserves it, no matter how serious it is. He played around too muchnovelbin
when he was younger, and now it’s coming to bite him in his behind. It’s his own fault.”
They sat down around the table, but before they could even start to eat, Ian’s phone rang. He glancedat it, but the call came from an unknown local number. He could guess who it was even without pickingit up. After all, there were only so many people who were related to him.
Ian declined the call. “Now you know you’re in deep trouble, but it’s no use asking for my help. Not thatI can help anyway.”
Cindy was quiet for a moment. “Oh, it’s from Leah’s guys?”
