Chapter 1757

Bryce’s inheritance was probably a huge one. Leah would be devastated after losing that much money, and Cindy knew why they weren’t opening the door. Reasoning with a madman was futile, for insanitywould only drive someone to the deepest depths of hell. The only way to deal with someone who hadlost all rationality was to ignore them. Cindy looked at Ian. “Are we really just going to let them do asthey please? The neighbors are gonna complain.”

Leah’s knocking was really loud. Ian thought it was disrupting, and even the neighbors would think thatit was noisy.

Ian placed his phone on the shoe rack and put his hands in his pocket. He looked relaxed andnonchalant about the situation. “Let her do what she wants. Logan’s men are coming soon.”

Aurora felt more at ease, but she was starting to get some ideas about kicking Leah’s butt. “I thinkLogan’s a bit of a careless guy. I wonder how he’s going to handle this matter.”

Ian hadn’t spent too much time with his mother, but Aurora wore her heart on her sleeve, so Ian knewwhat she was trying to say even without her being too straightforward about it.

Ian smiled. “Don’t worry about it. She has long been getting on Logan’s nerves. If he gets his hands onthem, they won’t be laughing anytime soon.”

Cindy laughed as well. “You can give them some ideas, Aurora. Tell them how to teach those guys alesson.”

Aurora chuckled. “It would be unbecoming of me if I actually did that.”

After all, she was largely unrelated to Leah. She was a part of Bryce’s past, while Leah was a part ofhis present. The only connection between them was Bryce’s inheritance and Ian’s conflict of interestwith Leah.

Even so, it’d look bad if she stepped in. She had no grounds to interfere with anything related to theMorgans. She had abandoned Ian for far too long. Even if she was doing it for him, the public would stillfind it unacceptable.

Ian patted her shoulder. “Logan’s not as innocent as you think. That guy is a trickster. He knows everytrick you can think of and more.” novelbin

“Oh, I see. Well, that makes me feel much better then. Time to sit down and watch the show unfold.”

Leah had left a bad impression on Aurora, so she wanted to see Leah down in her dumps. No, it wasnot because of her relationship with Bryce. Instead, it was because of how they treated Ian, and howSimon made up nonsense about Ian in that smear campaign. Those incidents alone proved that Leahand her children were evil and deserved to be punished.

The three of them chatted happily, ignoring Leah and her children, who were still standing outside.

Simon and Sally remained silent all the time, and they stood beside their mother, waiting patiently.

In the end, one of the neighbors finally couldn’t take it anymore. He came out and asked them ratherunhappily about what they were doing.

Simon finally spoke at that moment. He turned around and told the neighbor, “We’re not here for you.

Why did you even come out anyway? Just go back, chump. Don’t get in our way.”

The neighbor was a slightly older man. He was about to give Simon a piece of his mind, but his familycame out and dragged him back in. Apparently, they did not want to get into a fight with someone likeSimon.

Ian heard what happened, and he shook his head. He’s still not changing his attitude even at thispoint? Once Bryce passes away and Sean kicks him out of the house, he’ll know how harsh societycan be. Simon was born in a rich family and had never gone through any hardships before. Obviously,a grim future awaited him if he didn’t change his attitude.
