Ian was drinking a bottle of water in front of the fridge when he heard the door open, so he turnedaround to look.
When he saw Cindy coming back alone, he was startled for a moment. “You came back alone?”
At the same time, he glanced at the door and saw that she was indeed alone since she had alreadyclosed the door.She was now standing at the door with her hands hanging on both sides while shestared at him with slightly furrowed brows.
She doesn’t seem angry. Instead, it looks more like there’s something she doesn’t understand.
Seeing that she was still quiet, Ian smiled and closed the fridge before walking toward her. “I swear thatthe two of you went out together. Why are you the only one who came back?” novelbin
Silently, Cindy lifted her head and looked at him while pursing her lips with a solemn expression.
Ian stood in front of her and lowered his head. Again, the distance between them had exceeded thesafe distance inside Cindy’s heart.
He then reached out to touch her head. She was probably in a hurry when running back, so her hairwas a little messy.
However, she immediately avoided his slightly intimate action.
He paused for a moment but still maintained a smile. “Where did you go just now?”
She opened her mouth and replied, “I went to see Peter.”
There was originally a smile on Ian’s lips but the moment he heard her reply, he could feel his smileinstantly disappear from his face.
Cindy expected his reaction, but her fingers were still shivering uncontrollably.

Therefore, she added, “I was just joking with you. Why would I go out to meet him?” She walked pastIan and went over to the couch before sitting down right after. “I won’t be meeting him from now on.”
Meanwhile, Ian kept on staring at her. However, he didn’t seem to find her joke funny, which was whythe expression on his face wasn’t getting any better.
Cindy then put her hands on her thighs and pursed her lips to think for a while before asking, “I feel thatYulia likes you quite a lot. What do you think?”
Ian was confused as to why the conversation suddenly switched from Peter to Yulia, so he furrowed hisbrows and countered, “I don’t think so.” Then, he came toward Cindy and said, “However, I have afeeling that Peter likes you.”
Upon hearing that, she nodded her head. “He does like me. Didn’t you see him confessing to me thelast time?”
Ian sat down opposite her. “You seem quite proud about it.”
“Of course I am, because it proves that I’m attractive.” After that, she giggled and continued, “What isit? Are you not happy about it?”
At that, he answered her question. “Yes. I’m not happy about it.”
Listening to his answer, Cindy licked her lips. Although she pretended to be calm on the outside, shecould feel that her heart was actually beating at a rapid rate and her breathing was in completedisorder.
She had never been this excited in her life.
A few seconds later, she finally asked, “Why are you not happy about it?”
Ian remained silent for a moment as he finally understood why she came back all by herself. Looks likeshe wants to clear up everything with me.
He always knew that even though she was gentle, she was definitely not a weak person.
From how agitated she was when arguing with him in the past, he could tell that she wasn’t asubmissive person.
Maybe my actions in the past two days have really troubled her, so she wants to make everything clear.
As he thought about it, he leaned forward, moving even closer to her. “Can’t you tell?”
However, Cindy didn’t avoid him this time. Even though his penetrating eyes were still overwhelming toher, she held her ground and looked back at him.
While staring at his eyes, she replied, “What is it? I don’t see anything.”
Listening to her, Ian restrained his expression and pursed his lips.
Actually, there were some things that he didn’t plan to tell her at the moment because he hadn’t figuredit out on his own yet.
