Chapter 1719

Fortunately, the reason Cindy followed Aurora into the park was because the place was quiet at themoment. If they actually came here during the evening, the former would never agree to enter the park.

Cindy initially intended to clear things up between her and Peter if he decided to confess to her, but shenever expected Ian to follow her that day.

Once someone else was involved in the situation, the situation deteriorated immediately.

At the moment, she didn’t have the courage to face Peter, not because she felt sorry for him, butbecause she felt that she didn’t do enough to pull him out of the situation.

Therefore, she felt guilty about how it all ended since Peter had always taken care of her.

Thinking about it, Cindy couldn’t help but remember the other things that happened that day.

Ian has always been relatively gentle, but he was acting differently that day. I could see that hisexpression was very dark when he saw Peter.

Suddenly, she paused her steps as she seemed to notice something she ignored all this while.

Ian has been treating me differently for the past few days. Also, the way he acted in front of Peter thatday... At that thought, Cindy took a deep breath. I think it’s fine to say that I’m now thinking a bit toomuch, right?

Pursing her lips, she felt her heart suddenly become a mess while many thoughts came up in her mindat the same time.

Meanwhile, Aurora was still walking forward while shaking her arms. “However, this is the only timewe’ll get to use these sports equipment because almost all of it is occupied during the evening.”

She then walked to a nearby equipment and placed her leg on it before starting to press her leg downand bending her waist in a professional manner.

However, Cindy blinked and didn’t follow her to the equipment.

At the same time, Aurora continued, “Oh my—I really am getting old. My legs are so stiff that I can’teven press it down!” She changed to another leg and added, “I was so envious seeing you and Peterplaying badminton that day. It’s great to be young. Unlike me, you seem to learn it a lot faster. That’sprobably why he only gave you the racket afterward. He was afraid that I would slow him down.”

After saying a bunch of things, Aurora was startled to find that Cindy didn’t reply to her at all, so sheturned around to check on her.

At the moment, Cindy was standing a little farther away from Aurora, and the former’s mind hadcompletely drifted away.

Looking at her, Aurora smiled and said, “What is it? What are you thinking? Come over here. Don’tstand so far away.” Then, she pointed at the sports equipment next to her. “You can use this. Younggirls like you have soft bodies, so it shouldn’t be a problem for you.”

However, Cindy wasn’t interested in these sports equipment as she only wanted to meet Ian at themoment, and alone at that. novelbin

Therefore, she walked a few steps toward Aurora and asked, “Mrs. Morgan, why don’t you wait here fora while? I have something to do first so I’ll come back later on, okay?”

Aurora was dumbfounded at first and she withdrew her leg. “What is it? Has something happened?Should I follow you?”

Upon hearing that, Cindy quickly waved her hands. “There’s no need for that. I can go by myself. It’snot much trouble, so I should be back very soon.”

While staring at her, Aurora felt a little suspicious.

Cindy does not have any friends or relatives living near here. What else could she be up to that wouldbe inconvenient for me to follow?

Then, Cindy added, “I’ll be back real soon. Please wait for me for a while!”

She was in a hurry and it was as if she was walking on hot coals. After saying her goodbyes, sheimmediately turned around and ran back home, ignoring Aurora’s calls.

As Aurora stood there staring at the younger woman’s retreating figure, she couldn’t help but sigh.“What is she up to behind my back?”

In all honesty, Cindy wasn’t doing anything shameful, since she only wanted to deal with somepersonal matters which were inconvenient for Aurora to know for the time being.

She was never a person who liked to drag things out and her recent dawdling with Ian made life reallydifficult for her, so she now wanted a clear-cut answer.

When she reached the door, she stopped and took two breaths to make herself look normal beforeentering the house.
