Cindy felt slightly upset. After all, this wasn’t the Ian she knew. The person she knew would never havedone something like that.

Ian paused to think before responding, “I’m not sure whether Yulia’s managed to resolve her problems.Previously, her popularity was affected because of me and I think the magazine was affected too. Iwonder whether everything is resolved?”

Upon hearing that, Cindy glared furiously at him. However, she subsequently realized that he was juststating his opinion and perhaps he reckoned that she was stupid. That explained why he dared tobrazenly flirt with her and then share sweet moments with Yulia thereafter.
Presently, Ian’s hands were still busy massaging Cindy’s temples and he paused for a moment beforereaching down to pinch her cheek.
Truth to be told, he didn’t quite like being misunderstood. He was fine with joking around but once therewas a misunderstanding, it could turn quite awkward and it might even escalate into an irrevocablesituation.
As such, he immediately explained to her, “When did I tell you that I was on the phone and texting withYulia? I’m not that close to her so there’s no way I would call or text her in the middle of the night!”
Meanwhile, Cindy paused for a moment and shifted her body slightly so that she could look at him froma much more convenient angle.
She recalled everything carefully and realized that in actual fact, he hadn’t mentioned that the personwho called and texted was Yulia.

Just then, Ian withdrew his hands from Cindy’s face and he placed both his hands on each side of herbody, thereafter leaning in toward her.
At that moment, Cindy was significantly shocked by his actions. Right now, she was quite afraid of him.He seemed to relish in approaching her quite closely at his whim and there was nowhere else shecould move to get away from him.
The close proximity that they were in had exceeded their safe distance and she felt quite insecureabout this.
