Chapter 1556

Surprised, Cindy immediately read the news from the beginning till the end twice.

The news mainly elaborated that the paparazzi had followed Ian and Yulia on their secret date. Therewere even photos attached with the article confirming the identity of those two people. They seemed tobe in a cafe or a teahouse and enjoying a conversation while the bright smile on her face was ratherobvious.

As the photos had been edited, its background was not clearly revealed. Yet, the smile on Yulia’s faceseemed particularly sweet; it was probably due to the angle of how the photo had been taken.

The reporter even dug deeper into their backgrounds and presumed that the two of them were wellacquainted with each other, seeing that Yulia was Ian's photographer for a magazine cover.

Also, rumors had it that she bore a great impression of him and treated him exceptionally well.Considering the fact that it was an open secret in the industry that she would always maintain a pokerface to whoever she met, the exception that she made by having an especially amicable expressionwhen she was with him seemed to justify today’s news.

After Cindy read the entire passage, she breathed a sigh of relief. The news revealed that the incidenthad happened earlier in the afternoon, which was barely hours ago. The truth was that Ian had lefttogether with Aurora. She doubted that he would bring Aurora with him to witness him cheating on hispartner. novelbin

As Aurora obviously had no idea that Cindy and Ian were a fake couple, she couldn’t possibly help herson to cheat on his partner, no matter how unethical Aurora was. As such, the news was probably fake;

it was either an attempt by the paparazzi to gain publicity or someone had set Ian up.

The moment that she was done reading the article, Cindy immediately gave Ian a call.

Ian answered the call this time. As he knew what she was about to say, he beat her to it with a calmand stable tone. “I saw the news on the Internet—it’s fake. You should stay at home now and don’tcome out. I’ll settle everything.”

Cindy initially wanted to ask why he had met up with Yulia earlier in the afternoon, but she knew thatshe had to possess a special identity to be able to ask this question. After all, as an insignificantassistant, it wasn’t something that she should be concerned about. Therefore, the question thatrevolved around her tongue for a long time never had the chance to escape her lips.

Instead, she hummed in response and replied, “I believe you.”

Naomi swung by later that day and Cindy opened the door for her. Before Naomi could even enter thehouse, she asked, “Have you seen the news online? What happened?”

Cindy held Naomi’s arm to lead her inside. “Come in first. We will talk then.”

Naomi seemed rather displeased when she came inside. As she stood at the foyer, she stared at Cindywhile asking, “Did Ian explain the situation to you? Did you ask him what happened? The whole worldknows about it now. Have you seen the comments on the Internet?”
