Chapter 1555

Cindy lowered her gaze and she looked at the dish in her hands before lifting her head again towardIan’s bedroom door.

After some time, she suddenly smiled.

She didn’t have any other thoughts, but somehow, she felt that his expression looked as though he wasdesperately trying to run away.

It looked... kind of cute. After having her meal, she placed the dishes in the dishwasher.

Just when she was about to leave the kitchen, she saw him leaving his room again.

He looked like he was going out.

Cindy was surprised to see him again, so she quickly asked, “Are you heading out?” novelbin

“My mom has asked me to go over to help her carry something,” Ian replied.

“Do you need my help then?” She felt relieved to hear his answer.

Ian declined and paused his steps to look at her. “You just have to take care of yourself for now.”

After that, he wore his shoes and left.

Cindy slowly walked to an open space in the living room that faced the entrance and looked outside thedoor.

Although he had already left, her heart was still racing at a rapid speed.

Even though what he said earlier had sounded indifferent, she could still sense that he was caring forher. Maybe he isn't as cold as he looks. I can feel the warmth in his words.

As it was still early and she just finished her meal, she felt bored to sit around. In the end, she pacedthe living room before she decided to head outside in a pair of sandals.

She headed to Aurora’s house. Ian told her earlier that Aurora needed some help at her house, so shewanted to see what she could help with. However, before arriving at the junction, Cindy saw the two ofthem leaving the house together. After being surprised with how fast they were done, she realized thatthe direction they were headed to wasn’t his house. Rather, they were leaving the community. Cindyfroze for a while before she stepped back to hide instinctively.

In the meantime, Ian was walking beside Aurora while he answered a call, so they didn't see her.

Cindy was also unable to hear what Ian was saying as she was quite far from the two of them. However, she could see that they were in a hurry due to their rapid footsteps.

As she furrowed her brows, she stared at them before walking back home when they were gone.

Now that they had both left, there was no point for her to wander outside.

After arriving home, she took out her phone to look at Ian’s Facebook.

However, as there were no updates from him, she couldn’t gather any clues that would clarify hercuriosity.

Cindy pursed her lips and she hesitated for a moment before texting him, asking whether they neededany help from her without raising any suspicion.

There was no response from Ian.

Maybe he hasn’t seen my text. Therefore, she sat on the couch and looked at her phone. Why am I sosuspicious about him? Besides, it’s not like they went out to commit a crime.

However, Cindy eagerly wanted to know what Ian was up to behind her back.

10 minutes later, she received his reply.

It was short and simple—‘The filming is completed.’

As she looked at his text, she furrowed her brows and sighed. He has returned to his previous cold selfagain.

His reply only made her more curious, but she was worried that he would continue to brush her off, soshe gave up asking.

Forget about it. Cindy stood up and went back to her room before closing the door.

After that, she picked up the pen and paper that she recently bought from the mall and startedsketching since she had nothing to do and no one else was at home.

Luckily, she hadn’t forgotten everything that she learned from her major, so her lines were still quitesmooth when she drew it on the paper.

For some reason, it instantly calmed her down.

As she kneeled on the bed, she drew some clothes that she saw at the mall yesterday on the bedsidetable. It has been a while since I picked up a pen, but I think I managed to recreate 80% of what I sawyesterday.
