As Ian couldn’t control his expression, he immediately blushed.
Then, Cindy continued speaking, “You don’t even know how happy I was.”
He licked his lips as he searched for a reply, but nothing came to mind.
She sighed. “After I woke up, I realized that everything was just a dream. You never transferred yourproperties to me at all.”
His brain would have been slightly foggy after he heard her words in the past. Now that he heard herwords, his mind immediately became sharper. Sure enough. It turns out that she’s here just for mymoney.
Ian’s movement became rougher as he shoved her out of his embrace. “In your dreams.”

After he closed the door, he leaned against it and took a few deep breaths.

Cindy slept all the way until evening before she was woken by a phone call.
She felt for her phone with her eyes still closed before she successfully retrieved the device. Then, sheanswered the call without even looking at who the caller was.
Naomi was on the other end of line and she sounded quite tired. “Are you back?”
Cindy asked, “Huh, what?”
Upon hearing the answer, Naomi froze. “Babe, what’s going on? Are you drunk?” Oh, she guessed itaccurately. I’m indeed drunk.
It was after a pause that Cindy slowly turned around to hold the phone to her ear. “Oh, it’s you. I’m backwith Ian now. Since you were going to be busy for the entire day, I’d be bored alone.”
“The day is still bright outside.” Naomi frowned and sneakily lowered her voice. “And you... are in bed?”
Cindy hummed in agreement. “Yeah, I was sleeping.”
Naomi took a deep breath as her thoughts sidetracked. It makes me relate to some sexual activitieswhen I hear that she has been sleeping during the day.
Then, she lowered her voice even more. “Is Ian beside you? Can he hear what I’m saying now?”
There was another pause before Cindy slowly opened her eyes. “What nonsense are you saying?”How is it possible that he is beside me?
Naomi clucked her tongue. “There’s nothing to be embarrassed about. We are all adults now.”
Cindy sighed and decided to divert the topic. “Are you done with work?”
“Yes.” Fatigue suddenly overpowered Naomi. “Two days ago, they were both busy with something else,which is why all the work had to be done today. Man, they really thought I’m made out of steel. They
don’t know how to cherish me at all.”
Cindy forced herself to sit upright as she leaned against the top of the bed.
She was in her room and nothing else seemed out of place. Based on Ian’s character, it was quiteimpossible for him to come to her room.
To be frank, she had no idea how she had returned and she didn't even know whether she hadembarrassed herself in front of him.
