As | looked at him, | felt a little melancholic. Then, | held his waist and snuggled in his embrace. In a soft voice, | implored,“Hendrix, stay with me for a while.”

"Nothing, just stay with me for a while.”| left Hovell for Jarold City, in hopes that things would pan out positively. But somehow, | had let both Irvin and Josiah down.

My eyes felt heavy. | shook my head and replied, "You play with him, I'll watch."

Looking at my reaction, she resisted the urge to continue playing. Instead, she stood up and leaned her small body on me. Sheplaced her head on my shoulder and asked, "Mommy, are you not feeling well?"

| shook my head and gave her a hug which greatly soothed my nerves. "Nah, I'm just a little tired," | replied.

She nodded. As she let out a little sigh, she said, "You seem tired lately. Is it because you'll be sitting for an exam?"

I smiled gently. "Sort of!"

Anne seemed to be cooking up a thought. After a pause, she looked at me and said, "Alright Mommy, give me a second."
