Chapter 641

When | called Irvin, | was in a cab with Anne in my arms.

When he picked up it sounded very busy on his end, with the noise of documents and clacking of computers. Even so, his voicewas warm, he asked, "Have you eaten?”

“Let's meet up!" | said. The cab was already heading towards the Granger Group.

After a moment of silence, he responded, "Sure!"

The cab stopped in front of the Granger Group. Anne laid her head on my shoulder; she dozed off after she had finished crying. Two pretty ladies manned the reception desk at the Granger Group's huge lobby area downstairs.

| didn't go forward to ask about Irvin. From what | knew about Irvin, he'd be coming down here himself.

As expected, he arrived in the lobby five minutes later.

Seeing that Anne had fallen asleep, he frowned and reached out to carry her, but | dodged him. | asked, "Should we talkelsewhere, or right here?" People had taken notice of him ever since he got

here.He furrowed his brows and said, "Let's go to my office. There's a rest lounge, let the child rest properly on the bed."| nodded. | refused to let him carry Anne, and followed him upstairs on the president's private elevator.

After four years, the Granger Group had almost doubled in size, and even the president's office had been renovated into twoluxurious stories.

After placing Anne on the bed, | took a seat in the meeting lounge. He asked his secretary to serve me some tea. Since it wasmy first time here, people couldn't help but steal a couple of glances at me. This wasn't all that surprising, considering that | wasalso currently under public scrutiny.

“What would you like to eat later?" He didn't seem to mind my reason for meeting him, but only asked what | wanted to eat.

| pursed my lips and changed the topic. "Whether you'd like to take your revenge on me, or to make me suffer, | accept them allunconditionally. But, Irvin, children are innocent. | came back to Jarold City for only one reason, which is for Anne to have a goodfuture. She's just a child who doesn't know anything, but you're an adult. You should know that no matter how evil one is, hurtingthe innocent is never acceptable, especially children."

He frowned and found my words puzzling. "Revenge? Make you suffer? Why would | do that?"

| shrugged. "The only reason that | could think of is that you hate me. | accept that, and I'm also willing to play along, but thechild is innocent. | don't want her to get involved in this.”novelbin

He was silent for a long time, then looked up at me and said, "Did you think that | was the one who held the press conference forSierra's attempted suicide?"

"Wasn't it you?" There weren't many people who would do this, and | couldn't think of anyone else who could coerce Sierra intodestroying her own future just to frame me.

He suddenly let out a cold laugh. He looked at me, face full of disdain as he said, "Arianna, the way you think of me now is utterlyridiculous. When have | ever stooped so low and used dirty methods like this?"

"It's not considered dirty. You're a businessman who isn't lacking financially. Half of your life is done and dusted, and the onlydiscontentment you could possibly have is not being able to get what you want. | accept all of your dissatisfaction and grudge. Allthese years, you've kept Nerissa around just to use her to oust me out of the Roberts family. Honestly, you didn't have to do that.Even if | didn't stay in the Roberts family, Hendrix and | would still find a way to stay together. Moreover, Nerissa is only Hendrix'saunt. He respects her, but everyone has their limit. Once the line's crossed, you and | both know what he would do.”

He sneered, a little mockingly. Hissharp, dark eyes fell on Wee and sald,‘engage revo Glitter than

| pursed my lips and didn't think that he was complimenting me.

He paused, crossed his legs, and saidin a casual manner, "I did giveNerissa a hint. The goal wasGimpl|did tayant3iot living with Hendrixbecause I'm jealous. As for Sierra, I'mafraid you've made an incorrectassumption about me." Please readthe original content atNovelDrama.Org.

"This has nothing to do with me.Whether you believe it or not, | haveto tell you this. Plus, | know very wellhow important Anne is ayou soll!ey guns Aen protecthef. | don't want you to be sad.Arianna, | loved you four years back, and | still do now. I'll deal with theissue with Sierra. As long as you'reseparated from Hendrix, things willonly get better, trust me. | will lookout for you and for Anne's future."Please read the original content atNovelDrama.Org.

| frowned and coldly replied, "There's no need for...""Miss Shirley, you're here!" A voice rang out from outside the door. And | was cut off.
