Chapter 630

"I have always wanted to study to be a lawyer at Jarold University. However, my college entrance

examination results were not so great, so I stayed in the University of Ucrebury. Now that I have time,

I'm thinking of applying for the postgraduate program at Jarold University and continue to study." This

was a dream that I had since young. It would be a great blessing for me if i could pick it up again at the

age of 30.

He nodded as he raised the corners of his mouth and said, "Well, do you need to apply for the training

class? I'll have Evan arrange for it."

I chuckled as I glanced up at him and said, "Don't you feel that you are raising two daughters?"

He broke into laughter and said, "It would be the greatest blessing in my life. To be able to bring you

back and let you do whatever you like, it's worth it."

As I leaned against his chest and listened to his heartbeat, I felt relaxed. The future was a long journey

filled with uncertainties. It's great to be able to live in the moment.

In September, it was not too cold in Jarold City. It was warm enough and the lights in the bedroom were

dim. If one slept too long during the day, they wouldn't be able to fall asleep at night.

Hendrix seemed busy since he had been handling documents in the study. I got up from bed in the

middle of the night to drink some water. When I saw that the lights in the study were still on, I poured a

glass of water and knocked on the door.

In the study, the computer was off, and the documents on the table were neatly arranged. It seemed

that his work was done.

He was leaning on the chair, resting with his eyes closed. He opened his eyes when he heard

movement. Both of his eyes were as dark as the night. He asked, "Couldn't sleep?"

I nodded, placing the glass of water in front of him. Leaning against the office table, I looked at him and

said, "It's getting late. You should get some rest if you're done with work."

As he grew older, it wouldn't be good for him to stay up at night.

He narrowed his eyes slightly while grinning and said, "Are you inviting me?"

I didn't understand what he meant until much later. My face burned red. I simply said, "Get some rest!"

Standing up, I wanted to go back to the room. From Hovell to Jarold City, he had been gentlemanly all

this time, and did not cross the line.

If it weren't for his darkened gaze at this moment, I would have forgotten all these things.

I had only taken a few steps before he pulled me back and said, "Arianna, stay with me and talk!"

For a moment, I was stunned. However, when I looked back and saw the weary look on his face, I

guessed that it must have been about work.

I couldn't help but return to his side. As I raised my hand to touch his eyebrows, I whispered, "How long

have you not slept well?"

He looked at me as he held me in his arms. He rested his head on my lower stomach and replied,

"Four years!"

Just hearing those two words made me freeze.

He hugged me and said with a voice filled with tiredness, "I'm used to you being by my side."

His hair was short, but it looked like it had grown longer. I replied, "Your hair has grown, you need to cut

it!"

"Okay!" His voice was low as if he had fallen asleep.

I looked at the time. It was after midnight, and early in the morning. So I told him, "Hendrix, go back to

bed and sleep."

He mumbled and pulled me back to my bedroom with a tired face. We were going to sleep separately

after all.

But when we entered the bedroom, he laid me down on the bed with him and held me tightly in his

arms. He was truly exhausted.

Seeing him this way, I didn't want to disturb him, so I simply leaned into his arms and closed my eyes.

I couldn't help but raise my hand to touch his curled eyelashes. Once my fingertips touched it slightly,

he woke up.
