Chapter 516

Ian paused for a second, then walked over and handed him the milk bottle. He pursed his lips and

cleared his throat. Then, he pointed out, "She must be hungry. Try feeding her."

Hendrix found a chair and sat down. Afterwards, he gently fed Anne with powdered milk.

Usually, he was a callous and elegant man, but now, he looked very different when he was feeding milk

with a baby in his arms. I didn't know what to say and felt that this scene was very cute and loving, but

also very funny.

Ian glanced at him quietly before turning his back away to leave.

I walked towards Hendrix and stared at Anne who was still staring curiously up at Hendrix while

drinking her milk. Then, I asked Hendrix, "When did you learn to care for kids?"

Especially ones that are so young.

He looked up at me and his eyes looked particularly deep. "I learned it when you were pregnant."

"When?" I didn't know about this at all.

He curled his lips and fell into silence. His gaze fell on Anne and he said indifferently, "Take her back to

Flora Hill. Ian and Sawyer have their own life to live. Are you going to let them take care of her

indefinitely?"

I was appalled. I never thought of this question, so I didn't know how to answer him.

Seeing that I was in a daze, he sighed. "Flora Hill is big and you also have time now. You won't

overthink when you're accompanied by the baby. I'll also find us a few nannies. When Minnie returns

after the New Year, she can also care for Anne as she has experience in taking care of children, so you

don't have to worry too much about it."

He stared at me and asked seriously, "Is that okay?"novelbin

I nodded instinctively. After a while, I regained my senses. Then, I shook my head and said, "No, I'd like

to ask Ian and Sawyer first. They've been caring for her for so long. If I take her away, it might hurt their

feelings. After all, they do care about her a great deal."

He nodded and did not object to my suggestion.

Sawyer came back at noon to have lunch. He also brought back some fruits along the way. At the

dining table, I observed him and felt that he was different from the first time I saw him.

At the time, he looked like a sluggish ruffian. Half a year later, he seemed to have grown reticent. Most

of the time, he was just silently taking care of others.

Noticing my stares, he raised his eyebrows and asked, "What's wrong?"

"Are you going back home for the New Year?" I asked. Although the Clark family was not big, they also

had estates. Valerie acquired a lot of properties through her marriage. Although Sawyer was part of

Clark family, Valerie never thought of letting him manage Clark family's affairs in all these years.

He set the bowls on the table and his body stiffened. He glanced at me and asked, "And where is

home?"

I was speechless, not knowing what to say to that.

After we sat down, Sawyer glimpsed at Hendrix and told us, "You guys should find time to take Anne

for her residence permit registration."

I was stunned, and I couldn't help but turn to look at him.

He pursed his lips and said unemotionally, "Ian and I can't officially adopt her while you guys are legally

married. You can go through the formal process and adopt her."

Ian was surprised as well but upon hearing

Sawyer's words, he couldn't help but fall into silence.

Hendrix replied yes and his gaze fell on Anne. He said, "I will get these things done as soon as

possible."

Sawyer nodded. "My mother told me that she wanted to invite you guys for dinner."

Valerie?

I was taken aback, "Us?"

Although I didn't really care about what happened to Andrea, but she was her daughter after all, and I

did hurt her and soiled her good name. Why would she invite me for dinner?

Sawyer nodded. "Yes, she invited you and Hendrix."

I looked at Hendrix instinctively. He nodded and agreed.
