Chapter 510
I sighed. "You don't have to thank me. Just be yourself."
To outsiders, they probably thought that it was a blessing for me to be with Hendrix. It was everynovelbin
woman's dream to marry the person she loved, and if their person turned out to excel in many aspects,
then that would be a great bonus. But I was the only one who knew about the good and bad sides of
this.
Compared to that, I much preferred a peaceful and harmonious life.
The night I stayed in Bronzy Condo, I slept extremely well. I didn't even notice Anne crying at midnight
because she was hungry.
The next day, Ian asked me if I was bothered by Anne's crying the night before.
I shook my head and yawned. Then, I looked at him and said, "Remember to take me to the hospital
after breakfast."
He rolled his eyes at me, "Don't even think about it. It has been four months since you weaned, and it's
not like it's something you can summon at will."
Sawyer had finished preparing our meal in the kitchen. He was dressed in a custom- made suit and he
looked extraordinarily handsome. When he saw Ian and I coming out together, he said, "I'll be going to
the company later. I've got a few projects to handle. Please take good care of Anne."
I nodded and noticed that he was carefully putting a fried egg into Ian's bowl. I looked at them, curious
about how they found their way to each other.
Sawyer curled his lips when he caught me staring at him and asked, "Does it taste bad?"
I shook my head and changed the subject. "Did Aaron bring in a girl at your company?"
He thought for a moment and said, "Are you talking about that girl named Eunice Hathaway?"
I nodded. "Yes!"
He took a sip of milk, and said, "I'm not sure what's going on at the moment, but Aaron said that it was
your idea, I just went with it."
What?
When did I say that?
He saw me frown and said, "She starts work today. Do you need me to take care of her?"
I shook my head. "Nope, it was just a random question."
He was in a hurry to go to the company, so he left early. After Ian and I had breakfast, I urged him to go
to the hospital.
At the hospital.
In the counseling room of the gynecological department.
Ian carried Anne in his arms. I sat across the gynecological doctor and asked awkwardly, "Doctor, I
gave birth four months ago but I don't have breast milk anymore because my baby died early. Now, I'm
looking to induce lactation. Will I still be able to have breast milk?"
The doctor was a 50- year- old woman. She glanced at Ian, who was standing next to me with Anne in
his arms. She remarked, "Normally, there is no way to induce lactation but it's still possible. Many
parturient women can also induce lactation after half a year but it depends on one's body condition."
After a pause, she continued, "We don't recommend you to do the galactagogue treatment, but you can
let your husband try. Generally, with diet and artificial stimulation, there will be signs of breast milk."
It took quite a long time for me to realize what she meant. I couldn't help blushing but after thinking for
a moment, I asked, "What do I need to do when it comes to my diet?"
"Eat food that can help stimulate the secretion of the mammary gland. You'll need to have more
prolactin soup and take some medicine. I don't have the prolactin soup, but I can prescribe some
medicine for you. Some people would even get others to massage for them. However, we don't
recommend doing this as you've been in this state for four months. If the massager isn't careful, they
could easily damage your mammary gland. I recommend your husband to help you. Of course, you
could also let the baby have a try. The suction force of a baby isn't strong, so it won't hurt you."
After that, the doctor lowered her head and got the prescription ready. She handed it to me and advised
me, "In the process of inducing lactation, you should maintain a good mood and get sufficient sleep, to
improve your chances."
I nodded, blushing a little. Then, I thanked her and left the hospital.
