Chapter 415

What Minnie said was right. It began to snow in Jarold City after a few days. I sprained my ankle, so I

couldn't go out.

After recuperating for a few days and staying in the mansion all day, I was either reading some books

or laying to bed. This made me gain some weight.

When the injuries were almost healed and it was time to go out for a walk, it began snowing heavily in

Jarold City.

Hendrix was busy. He had no time to take care of me. I looked at the white world outside for a while on

the balcony.

I couldn't help but to remember that when we were young, Monique had said that she was going to find

a city that snows in the future. That way, she wouldn't miss out on a snowy day every winter.

New Year's Day was around the corner. Thinking back to what Ian had said before, he and Monique

would be back by the end of year.

I took out my phone and dialed his number. The phone rang for a long time before it was connected.

It was Ian's hoarse voice. "It's snowing in Mesville. Is it snowing too in Jarold City?"

I nodded and said, "Well, it is. It has been two days and the snow outside has piled up high. The whole

world has turned white. So, are the two of you coming back soon?"

After a pause, I poured out a lot of things in my heart and said, "I miss you both."

On the other end of the line, Ian seemed to be a little nervous. "I was planning to go back, but it had

only been less than three months, and now it's deep winter. I'm afraid I can't stand it. I'll have to wait till

the beginning of spring."

"Where's Monique? Why hasn't she called me or replied to my calls? I miss her so much." Looking at

the falling snow outside the window, I felt a little sad.

"She is sleeping in the baby's room. When she awakens, I will ask her to give you a call."

I couldn't help but to frown. In a serious voice, I said, "Ian, tell me honestly, is there something wrong

with Monique?"

"Otherwise, why hasn't she replied to my messages? I can understand it once or twice, but it has been

three months. Why hasn't she responded yet?"

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line. I was so anxious that I couldn't help but to

ask nervously, "Ian, what's wrong with Monique? Are you guys all alright?"

"She... Nothing, but she didn't recover after giving birth. I took her to Mesville for rehabilitation. She

wouldn't allow me to let you know every time you called." There was nothing unusual from her words.

Being so far away from me, I wasn't sure for a moment whether what Ian said was true or not. I said, novelbin

"Ian, give me your address in Mesville. I'll come to see you in a few days. I want to see the baby."

"It's too cold. Don't run around. You're not in good health. The temperature in Mesville is much lower

than in Jarold City. It's not comfortable for you to come here. We'll be back when Monique is feeling

better and the children are older."

Ian heard the crying of a child on the other side of the phone. He hurriedly said, "The baby is crying. I'll

take care of her first and send you a picture of the baby later. I'll hang up first."

After that, he hung up the phone in a hurry. I was a little lost in thought while holding onto the phone.

The Roberts Group hospital was having some issues, so Hendrix was very busy. I couldn't help him, so

I didn't bother him.

When Nerissa came to the villa, it was still snowing outside. She got out of the car and entered the

villa. In just a few minutes, lots of snowflakes had already dropped over her body.

Minnie was slightly stunned when she saw her. "Miss Nerissa!" Minnie had been in the Roberts family

for many years, so she knew Nerissa.
