After greeting the two elders, Pedro and Valerie noticed me. A look of surprise fell on their faces when
they saw me. They looked at Anthony and asked, "Master Miller, who is this person beside you?"
Anthony said with a smile, "This is Arianna. She's a staff member of our company, and she's here withnovelbin
Irvin today."
Pedro and Valerie looked at each other, still looking surprised. "Arianna?" Their eyes fell on me,
confused.
"Mr. Moore, this girl looks just like President Lin when she was younger. If it wasn't for the fact that your
family has already brought your daughter back, I would have thought that she is your daughter,"
Charles, who was about the same age as Pedro, teased.
Many people agreed with what he said even though this was met with surprise by the elderly couple.
They then looked at Valerie and me carefully.

and she is tall and delicate. If Pedro hadn't already gotten his daughter back, I would have thought her
to be your biological daughter."
Everyone laughed hearing this. Pedro glanced at Valerie before focusing his gaze at me. He bunched
his eyebrows as he looked on.
After Irvin was done entertaining the guests, he walked in and said with a smile, "I can't believe
everyone thinks so. Why don't we let Mr. Moore recognize Arianna as his goddaughter so that we can
have more good news today?"
Hearing that, I couldn't mask my surprise. I didn't understand what Irvin was trying to say.
As soon as he said this, someone chided in agreement, "Yeah, this is a good idea. Mr. Moore will have
another beautiful girl by his side. How enviable."
Others didn't know of my relationship with the Moore family. Of course, they would think that it's a
happy event. However, all it took was one look at the faces of Valerie and Pedro to know that this was

After a while, Valerie said with a smile, "We appreciate the kindness. Everyone knows that our
daughter, Andrea is a tough girl. But she had suffered for the past few years, and I don't think it'll ever
be enough for us to make it up to her. If we take in another goddaughter, I'm afraid she will overthink."
All of a sudden, Irvin and the others, who had originally suggested this, turned pale at her words.
