I was not far from the door, but I was miles away from the stage, and Aaron's voice was not restrained. Although it didn't reach the front, it caught the attention of several guests around us.
"Can you be quiet? I don't want to be treated like a joke here," Emma hissed and looked vulnerable.

To be honest, before Serene appeared, I had imagined countless times that Hendrix had someone else by his side who defeated me in every aspect. I had always wondered what I should have done if that were the case, but when the situation really happened, I felt surprisingly at ease.
His eyes and voice did not lie.
