Chapter 1700

Hendrix suddenly let out an audible sneer.

After a while, he composed himself and said in an unyielding voice, "Get out of their way! Let'ssatisfy her!"

"Hendrix! Do you have any idea what you just said?!" Aaron was unwilling to let me put myself indanger, so his men remained vigilant.

"Evan!" Hendrix raised his hand, and Evan left. He soon came back, followed by a group of hismen.

Those people dispersed as soon as they came in and stopped Aaron's people from doing anything. The two sides confronted each other, but Hendrix had more people. He quickly made way for us inthe middle.Contents belong to NovelDrama.Org

It was already dark. The north wind blew past us, making me shiver. When I met Hendrix's darkeyes, I felt as if my body was frozen.

The bodyguard knew the situation very well, so he took the opportunity to kidnap me through thecrowd. Aaron wanted to save me, but Hendrix stopped him.

Walking out of the garden, I turned around and saw Aaron and Hendrix fighting with each other.

Soon, the bodyguard took me out of the Reid family's house.

At this moment, a black car rushed over from the distance and stopped in front of us.

The bodyguard removed the dagger from my neck and pointed to the car next to him. "Get in thecar, Miss Reid."

After thinking for a second, I stepped forward and opened the door.

I thought that the car was specially prepared for us, but to my surprise, another person was sittinginside.

The person was wearing leather clothes and boots, and wore black from head to toe. If it weren't forthe ponytail, I would have mistaken her for a man.

When she felt my gaze on her, she turned around to show her face and gave me an unfathomablesmile. "Miss Reid, what a pleasure to meet you."

I was very certain that I had never seen this face before in my life, but she seemed to be veryfamiliar with me.

Probably because he was afraid that Aaron's men would chase after me, the bodyguard pushed mefrom behind and ordered me to get in the car. Then he bent over and slid into the seat.

As soon as the bodyguard got in, the driver immediately stepped on the accelerator and droveaway.

Looking at the Reid family house growing smaller and smaller in the rearview mirror, I had anunspeakable feeling in my heart. I felt as if I'd stepped into nothing and felt no sense of security.

Soon, the Reid family's villa completely disappeared from my sight. Then, after a few twists andturns, we got on the last flight to Mesville.

They seemed to be working together, but strangely enough, the bodyguard and the woman next tohim didn't say anything to each other throughout the journey.

Feeling a little surprised, I turned to ask the woman, "Did the GW Group send you?"

The woman was not as difficult to get along with as she looked. She smiled back at me. "Miss Reidis very smart. You will understand when you get there."

The woman's words were smooth as butter. I couldn't help staring at her for a few seconds.

The woman was very perceptive. She saw through me with a single glance and said jokingly, "Don'tbe surprised. My husband knows you better than yourself, Miss Reid. He has known for a long timethat you would do anything for your children."

I couldn't smile at all. "Who is your husband?"

This intrusive statement made me feel creeped out. Who could know me better than myself?

However, she smiled and turned away. She leaned against her seat, closed her eyes, andproceeded to take a nap, leaving me alone with my confused thoughts.
