Chapter 1552

We left the house soon after that. Hendrix drove while I sat in the passenger seat and looked out ofthe window. The gloomy Jarold City weather had suddenly cleared up. It was rare to see the clearblue sky.

"It's almost the end of the month. It's also rare to see the sky looking so sunny. By the way,Christmas is right around the corner. I wonder if it will snow!" It seemed that it snowed every year inJarold City. If it snowed this year as well, then Christmas would be a very likely occasion.

Thinking of this, I couldn't help but start planning for Christmas. For so many years, it seemed thatwe had never celebrated Christmas seriously.

Hendrix drove the car and looked straight ahead. "Is there anything you want for Christmas?"

I turned to look at him and pursed my lips. "Mr. Roberts, do you realize that our relationship is tooboring? It's like we have been married for decades. There's no longer any passion in ourrelationship."

He frowned slightly, then stopped the car at the side of the road and stared at me with deep eyes."So, do you mean that I should find something fun

to do?"

Seeing that he had suddenly stopped the car, I couldn't help saying, "Why did you suddenly stop thecar? Aren't we going to see Aunt Nerissa?"

He leaned closer towards me. "Let's talk about our problems first."

"What's the problem?"

"Our passion!"

I was dumbfounded and laughed. "That's not what I mean. I mean that we are actually doing quitewell, you..."

"How well?" He stared at me as if he was trying to tease me. I was stunned and then couldn't helpbut glare at him. "Hendrix, stop making such a big deal out of this!"

At my comment, he was stupefied and did not respond. Then I added, "I'm just casually bringing itup. Why are you taking it so seriously? Why did you stop? Aren't we going to Aunt Nerissa's place? What if the traffic is bad? When are we going to arrive then?"

He was a little stunned. I pushed him back to his seat and stared at him, "You should focus ondriving! Don't get into an accident!"

Hendrix obeyed my commands and started the car. He continued to drive with a slightly puzzledlook on his face, but after a while, he glanced at me and frowned. "When did you learn to divertattention like this?"

I played dumb. "What do you mean to divert attention? I'm just telling you to keep your eyes on theroad and not overcomplicate things."

I pushed his face towards the road and said seriously, "I'm just casually bringing this up. Can younot be so serious about it? It's really hard for me to strike a conversation with you if you keep thisup."

"Alright!" He responded.novelbin

Nerissa had returned to Jarold City, and her place was very close by. Fortunately, the traffic wasquite smooth all the way there.

She had bought a house in the city. It was located in a residential area and came equipped with anelevator. When we reached there, Nerissa and Jarred were waiting for us downstairs. When they

saw us, they smiled and greeted us, "Was the traffic bad? We have been waiting for you for so long.Come, let's head upstairs!"
