"Sebastian, you're going to die a terrible death!" I panicked. Looking at how indifferent he was, I wasscared, a fear that rose from the very depths of my heart. My eyes turned red, and my heart jolted.
"Don't hurt him. You just want the contract, don't you? I'll give it to you, don't try to threaten him withme!" I grabbed his hand, looking a little petty. I looked at his cold and livid face with my red andswollen eyes. "Sebastian, you just want the contract, don't you? I'll give it to you, as long as youdon't hurt Hendrix!"
He stared at me. At first, his expression was sullen, then it gradually became cold and indifferent.He then laughed out loud and said, "Arianna, why did you say that? I don't intend on hurting you atall. I didn't want to use you to threaten Hendrix at all. It was you. You were the one who threwyourself into my arms."
With this, he got up, opened the cage door, and went out to pick up the mobile phone on theground. Then he walked towards me and handed me the phone. He said in a low voice, "CallHendrix and have him hand the contract over to Linda."
I calmed down. I took the phone from his hand and dialed Hendrix's number. Someone picked upthe phone almost immediately. It was Hendrix.
Hearing his voice, my heart ached and I said, "Hendrix, where are you? Are you alright? How areyou?"
"I'm fine. Don't worry, don't be afraid!" He said. His low voice made me feel at ease.
I felt relieved that he was safe.
Sebastian stared at me with a solemn expression. It was obvious that he wanted me to mention thecontract. I pursed my lips and hesitated a moment before saying, "Hendrix, do you still remember
where the box Grandma gave me is?"
He seemed to be a little taken aback and he replied, "It's at home, don't you know where it is?"
I frowned slightly. We hadn't talked about this since the last time, thus I had no idea where the boxwas being kept at all. Thinking of this, I said, "Alright, I'm not at home right now. I'll ask someone togo and take it. You stay in Asherton and concentrate on what you have on hand!"
"Alright!" He answered in a gentle voice. "I'm almost done. Are you all right?"
Sebastian looked at me. I pursed my lips and said over the phone, "Well, it's all good. It's just that Imiss you. I'll wait for you at home. You have tonovelbin
come back soon!"
Before I could finish my words, Sebastian tried to snatch the phone away from my hand, but Iavoided him. On the other end of the line, Hendrix didn't seem to notice that anything was wrong.He was just a little stunned and answered in a low voice, "Alright. I miss you too!"
Glancing at Sebastian, who had his gaze fixed on me, I said to Hendrix, "I'll be waiting for you. Takecare!"
He answered, "Sure!"
After hanging up, Sebastian suddenly grabbed the mobile phone from me. The cell phone wassmashed into bits.
I looked at him, pursed my lips in silence, and did not speak. He stared at me furiously and pulledme up from the ground without saying anything. Then, he pulled me up and tossed me on the sofa.
He didn't give me any chance to react. He didn't even care that I was struggling and immediatelypounced on me.
I broke down and tried to push him away, but no matter how hard I tried, he still kept going. I wasanxious. "Sebastian, you have gotten what you want. Just ask someone to go and retrieve it. Whydo you have to do this!"
