Chapter 1495

In the Reid family's yard.

When Hendrix and I arrived, Yana and Ethan were already there. Perhaps it had been a long timesince she last saw her son, Yana was busy playing with Carney in his room while Ethan watchedthem. It was a beautiful and heartwarming scene.

As for Aaron, he certainly knew that he would be miserable watching this scene, but he still keptfinding excuses to go up to Carney's room. After that, he would sit alone dazedly in the living room.Even Uncle Charles couldn't stand it anymore. He stared directly into Aaron's eyes and said, "Don'thang around here. Didn't you ask Miss Stone to come over? Go out to welcome her. This yard isreally big. I’m afraid that she might not be able to find her way to the villa."

Aaron said lazily, "Aren't there servants to bring the guests here? Why should I go?"

Uncle Charles gazed down at him and shouted, "Don't you know the right way to treat a guest? Whydo you have to go yourself? You know full well the reason!"

After hearing his words, Aaron stood up and went to welcome her at the gate.

Hendrix was chatting with Uncle Charles. Carney played with his mother, but after a while, he clungto Ethan like glue.

Yana knew that she had been replaced, so she came out and sat beside me. She complained, "Icarried that traitor in my belly for 10 months. I missed him so much that I had trouble falling asleepevery night. It turns out that he doesn't even care about me."

Listening to her complaints, I smiled and said, "Carney often talks about you. Uncle Charles hasaged so much trying to take care of him. Don't complain about it. Children are always naughty. Hewill come to you when he is tired."

She nodded and sighed, "I think he was weaned too early. I'm a little worried about his health. Ialways feel that he's smaller in size compared to other children his age. He looks a little scrawny.Anne wasn't breastfed as well, was she?"

I nodded and replied, "Monique died when Anne was born. I had a lot of other things to deal with atthat time and couldn't take care of her, so Ian and Sawyer took care of her. It was not easy for twomen to take care of a baby. Later I thought about feeding her with breast milk. But actually, once thebreastfeeding period of a mother ends, the breast milk will become less nutritious. So, Anne wasn'treally breastfed much. She was smaller than Carney when she was a baby. After that, I took her toHovell for a few years. The environment there was really good for her growth. Seeing her gettingbetter and better, I then brought her back to Jarold City. When I recall it now, it was me who neverthought things through and her illness is mostly my fault."

She held my hand and said, "You didn't expect this would happen. You don't have to blame yourself. What's more, if you take good care of Anne now, she can still be healthy. By the way, I heard UncleCharles mention that someone will be coming over later?"

I nodded and answered, "It's the woman from Aaron's blind date. She is the eldest daughter of theStone family. You have probably heard of her before."

She nodded and said, "I have. The Stone family in Jarold City is a literary family. Their children areall well-educated. But why would the Stone family want a union with the Reid family?"novelbin

I shrugged and answered, "It's not really a union. That woman is about 30 years old. This is hersecond marriage and she has no children, because she is infertile. The reason why they agreed tolet her marry Aaron was that they just simply wanted to form a marital union. After all, Aaron alreadyhas a child and there is no need to continue the family line. He wants to get married simply becausehe wanted someone to take care of Carney and Uncle Charles at home. When Uncle Charles growsold, a woman will have to take over and manage this home."

Yana nodded, looked at me, and asked, "Aaron is such an arrogant man though. Will he agree tothis?"
