Sheridan then sighed and said, "You should go to the hospital first to check on your father. I'll takecare of everything else."
Looking around and seeing this huge crowd of people, I couldn't bring myself to ask him more. I didas Sheridan said and got to the hospital. After examining, the doctors found out that Pedro waschoked by the smoke. Thankfully, he would be fine after sufficient rest.
At this moment, Evan headed to the Emperor Restaurant to take care of unfinished business,whereas Sheridan followed up with John's fire. I was left in the hospital corridor with Westin.
We sat there for a long time before I broke the silence and said, "Westin, I know that we haveparted ways. I won't ask you too many questions. But since I helped you today, can you please tellme, how is Kaleb still alive?"
Westin's wound had been tightly bandaged by a doctor at this point, and he sat next to me incomplete silence.

Therefore, everything that happened went according to his plans. All of this was just to lure me, touse me as a tool to get what he wanted.
I wasn't sure how to react to this. All this while, he had been stringing me along, like a dog on aleash.
As soon as Westin saw the change of expression on my face, he bit on his lips and apologized tome, "I am really sorry!"
After such a long day of torment, I shook my head with a face of exhaustion. Everything seemed tobe nothing more than a part of a well-plotted scheme.
Hendrix's words crossed my mind suddenly, and I widened my eyes. "Westin, are you out of Kaleb'scontrol now?"
