Chapter 1387

He pursed his lips and slicked back my hair. "It's a morning flight," he said. "Hurry up."

By the time I finished gargling, he had gotten my hair nicely combed. I turned around and looked inthe mirror. It looked rather decent. I glanced at him and raised my eyebrow. "How many times haveyou practiced?" I asked.

He lifted his gaze to look at me and grabbed a piece of tissue paper to wipe off the toothpaste at thecorner of my lips. "This is the first time," he said smilingly. "I'm not skilled enough. I guess I canimprove with further practice. But it seems that you're kind of pleased with it. Well, I guess I'mtalented then."

I chuckled. I walked out of the bathroom and made my way to the dressing table. Other thanskincare products, he had packed all my essential belongings. He had even put the luggage in thecar. As he saw me putting on some make-up, he raised his eyebrows at me questioningly. "Why thesudden mood to put on make- up though?" he asked.

It was not make-up. I was merely applying some lipstick and filling in my brows. I turned around tofind him putting his arms around me. "I'm going out with the great Mr. Roberts," I said. "I should payattention to my image, shouldn't I?"

He cracked a smile and grabbed hold of my hand. "You' re naturally beautiful," he said. "You don'tneed make- up. Pregnant ladies shouldn't be wearing too much make-up. It's not good. You shouldchange these products."

I glanced at the cosmetics on the dressing table. They were all high-quality plant-based products. Ilooked at him and said, "There's no need to change. They're safe for pregnant ladies. Don't youever change my products without my permission. Otherwise, you’ll be dead meat."

He had the habit of changing my clothes and cosmetics whenever I was not paying attention. It wasnot that they were broken or fully used up. He merely assumed that I did not like them, for I did notuse them up within three months after purchasing them. As a result, I always felt that I did not havea favorite set of skincare products. The current set was really good. It had both moisturizing andbrightening effects. It felt comfortable on my skin too. Therefore, I specifically reminded him not tochange them. I could not fathom why a company's chief executive would have the time to payattention to such trivial issues. That must be too much of a hassle for him.

Since I deliberately reminded him, he nodded. "Right, okay then," he said. "I won't change it. Let'sgo, we’ve got a flight to catch."

When I got in the car, I leaned back in my seat as I felt exhausted. Then, I squinted and said, "Wakeme up when we arrive at the airport. I’ll have a little snooze for now."

It was not because I was exhausted. Rather, my fatigue stemmed from morning sickness. Iwondered if my current strong reaction had to do with the fact that I did not develop intense morningsickness in my previous pregnancy.

Hendrix had wanted to speak, but he held back when he saw the tiredness on my face. He claspedmy hand and said, "You'll be fine after some rest."

I nodded. I did not feel like talking much. Not long after that, we arrived at the airport.novelbin

After a while, we boarded the plane. I thought I was merely sleepy. Never had I expected that Iwould feel nauseous after boarding the plane. I retched several times. Hendrix asked thestewardess to get me some medicine to ease my nausea. Alas, I could not consume it because Iwas pregnant. He could only look on helplessly as I retched.

It was not an easy journey to Asherton for me. I was completely drained. After bringing me to thevilla, Hendrix started to work.

I felt much better after having some rest. When I went downstairs, I saw Hendrix taking a nap in theliving room. I covered him with a blanket. At this moment, I caught sight of g text message fromSebastian.
