Chapter 1328

Moreover, he had caused him serious damage!

Hendrix left. Estella was stunned. She looked at me and said, "Mrs. Roberts, I'll take you home, butI don't know where you live. You need to tell me your address."

I smiled lightly and nodded. Then I spoke, "Sorry to trouble you!"

She shook her head with a smile. "No, it's my job."

It was time to get off work. Hendrix had taken the car that we arrived in, but luckily Estella had herown car. After getting on, she looked at me and said with a smile, "You don't have to worry.Although I just got my driver's license, I'm still quite steady."

I smiled faintly and slid into the front passenger seat. Thinking about how she had been promoted tosecretary from receptionist, I casually said, "Hendrix has a lot of problems. You must be tired all thetime. The things a secretary has to take care of may be more trivial than a receptionist's work."

She started the car and smiled, "It's all right. Mr. Roberts is a very nice person. He always askssomeone else to teach me the things that I'm not

familiar with."

I nodded and didn't answer.

On the way, she parked the car at the side of the road and got off to bring her things from the trunkof the car to the front. I looked back, and saw her carrying a grey bag.novelbin

After getting back into the driver's seat, she put the grey bag in the back seat and told me with asmile, "I have to find someone to return their stuff later. I'm afraid that I will forget it, so I have to takeit out first to avoid that happening."

I nodded and didn't say anything else.

She drove steadily into the lobby of our villa. She gazed up at the villa, and looked at me, "Madam, your home is so big. I'm so envious!"

I smiled and said, "Do you want to come up for a while?"

She shook her head. "No, I have to go to see my friends later. Maybe another time, I believe therewill be opportunities in the future."

After getting out of the car, I simply thanked her. I watched her drive away and stood motionless fora long time. I couldn't help squinting while watching her drive away.

In this world, purity either did not exist, or had been trampled. Growing up was indeed a longprocess.

Hendrix returned home late because he had been worried about Josiah's condition. He was notworried about him, but if something went wrong with him, Anne's bone marrow transplant would beeven more difficult to accomplish.

I was waiting for Hendrix in the living room. I saw him lower his head and change his shoes in thefoyer after he came back. I asked him, "How is he? Is it serious?"

"He was injured in a vital area and was rescued in the hospital. Austin was there to guard him at thehospital. Why are you still up?" He changed his shoes and looked up at me.

I walked up to him and replied, "I was worried about you, so I waited at home for you to come back."As I spoke, I saw him tossing the grey bag he brought home to a side.

I couldn't help but frown. I had seen this bag before in Estella's car. Why was he holding it?

Hendrix must be exhausted. He rubbed his temples and leaned against the sofa to rest. I pursed mylips and looked at the grey bag. I walked to his side and massaged his shoulders to relieve hisfatigue. Then I asked him, "I saw you holding a grey bag when you came back. What's that?"

He closed his eyes and said, "I gave my coat to Estella when the accident happened. She washed itand returned it to me. The maid will come and clean up tomorrow. Ask her to take care of it!"

Looking at the bag, I remembered that Hendrix had indeed given his coat to Estella when theaccident happened that day. I'd bought another set of new clothes for Hendrix that day.
