Chapter 1221

He looked at me, his pupils constricted. "I underestimated you!"

I didn't say a word. I just looked at him with no expression on my face, waiting for his decision. Hisdark eyes swept over the Roulette wheel, and the corners of his mouth curled upward. "I have tosay, this condition is very interesting!"

Then, he raised his hand and snapped his fingers. He looked at me and said, "Let's play. But sinceyou are a woman, I'll take it easy on you."

I smiled faintly and said as if it did not matter, "No need for that. It's better to be fair!"

He raised his eyebrows, walked to the other end of the table, and said, "Let's begin!"

I walked to the other side of the table. He looked at me and said, "Ladies first!" while extending hispalm like a gentleman inviting a lady to dance.

Unflinchingly, I pressed the button in my hand and the Roulette wheel began to spin. After god-knows-how many spins, the pointer stopped at the number 7, just as I expected.

With a faint smile on my face, I looked at him and said, "Mr. Hayes, I'm sorry, that's reallyhumiliating."

He shrugged and said in a calm tone, "It looks like I'm going to lose."

As he said that, he threw the card in his hand on the pointer of the Roulette wheel. The card hit thepointer, and it started moving quickly. It was not long before the pointer slowed down and stopped atthe number 8.

Everyone at the table could not help but let out a sigh as if they were sorry for the result. However,Tobias was not anxious. He just looked at it casually with his dark eyes, as if he did not care about

the final result at all. Two seconds later, the pointer swayed and stopped at the number 7. It wasincredible.

He looked at me and said with a pretend pity, "It stopped at the number 7. What a pity. Mrs.Roberts, you almost won!"

I pursed my lips as I looked at the wheel. I knew that no matter what the game was, we would endup in a draw. After all, he was the boss of this casino. If he wanted to play, it would be easy for him.

Looks like he doesn't want to talk to me at all! I thought to myself.

I put down the card in my hand and returned to my seat. I looked at him calmly, my eyebrowsraised. "Mr. Hayes, aren't you going to have a chat with

me?"

He jumped up and sat on the table, looking very carefree. "What do you want to talk about? Talkabout love?"

He squinted his eyes and said, "Although you're not young, you look very charming. I heard thatHendrix has suffered a lot for you. Let's have a short interview. You run away from him and hechases after you - is this what true love is?"

I pursed my lips, ignoring the disdain and sarcasm in his words.

"It seems that you're unwilling to talk to me," I said.

He raised his eyebrows. He neither denied my statement, nor did he make any sign of affirming it.novelbin

Since that was the case, I returned tit for tat. Thus, I kept my mouth shut and quietly waited forHendrix.

Just a few seconds later, I suddenly realized something was wrong. I stood up and rushed out of theroom. Tobias ran after me as he shouted for me to stop, but I quickened my pace. He couldn't catchup with me.

In the hall, everything seemed to be the same as when we came in; even the people were thesame. However, my sudden appearance attracted the attention of several people who were playingleisurely.
