Chapter 1207

The lady at the front desk blinked at me in astonishment before taking the money and noddedrepeatedly. She was very efficient. In a short while, she had fruits and cakes distributed to thepeople who had created a scene in the hall. Except for the security guards who were guarding theelevator entrance, all the other security guards helped in distributing food and had sat downnaturally amongst the crowd, starting to chat with them.

It happened to be around lunchtime so reporters were beginning to show up one after another. Dueto to the lessons learned from the previous time, the reporters who came were pretty restrained.

After a while, the lady at the front desk ran to me, and said frantically, "Mrs. Roberts, these peopleare not Sonia's relatives at all. Someone paid them a hundred dollars a day to come here andcreate a ruckus. These people are all strangers who dance in the park. When they heard that they'dget a hundred dollars a day, some of them even brought their grandchildren here, to get moremoney."

Upon hearing that, I was stunned for a moment. I originally thought that these people would at leasthave had some kind of relationship with Sonia's family, but now it seemed that the people behindthis simply wanted to create some trouble for the Roberts Group.

After a moment of silence, I said, "Think of a way to record a video of them, and then give themtwice the money to make them leave. Tell them that they should tell other people that Sonia hascommitted suicide. As for the rest, as long as it does not affect the interests of the Roberts Group, just let them say whatever they want."

The lady at the front desk nodded and left. I couldn't help but wonder who would go through somuch trouble to smear the Roberts's reputation. What did the other party want?

Quite a few people in the hall had left one after another. The lady at the front desk gave me therecorded video and said, "Mrs. Roberts, those people have already left, and Sonia's parents are the

only ones left. You are really smart. The people in the hall became quiet in an instant. Those ill-intentioned reporters came in vain today, and they even helped to publicize the company!"

I smiled faintly and my gaze fell on Sonia's four-year-old child in the hall. The child looked a littlefrail. I didn't know if I was overthinking it, but I had a feeling there was something about the childthat made me wary.

I looked back at the lady at the front desk and said, "Thank you for today. Please send me thevideo. By the way, what's your name?"novelbin

The lady blushed as she exchanged contacts with me, and replied in a slightly agitated tone, "Mrs.Roberts, my name is Estella Zanes. You can just call me Stella. It's my honor to be able to help you,Mrs. Roberts."

I smiled and saved her contact After a while, I received the video she sent.

"Oh no, this is not good!" In an instant, the originally quiet hall suddenly became noisy again.

I looked up and saw Sonia's parents crying in pain. Then, I looked toward Estella and said, "Go andcheck it out!"

She trotted over and pulled the people surrounding Sonia's parents away while I followed behindher.

The child who was playing on the sofa in the hall had fainted. His face was drained of color, and hewas bleeding from his nose, there were no signs of external injuries.
