Chapter 1201

I shook my head subconsciously and replied, "No!"

He looked at me, dissatisfied with my answer. Finally, I pouted and said, "Alright. I would like to eatsteak, paella, some Chinese cuisine..." I randomly said a lot of dishes at one go, but he just listenedwith a smile. I didn't think he could remember all of them, so I shrugged and didn't continue.

I was in a hurry to take Anne to the hospital so after listing out the food, I took my bag and preparedto leave.

As I walked out of the office, I happened to meet Hendrix's secretary at the elevator door. She wascarrying a huge pile of documents in her hand. She was somewhat absent-minded, and did noteven notice that she had dropped something on the ground.

I greeted her. "Hello!"novelbin

After calling her name twice in a row, she looked back at me and saw the document in my hand. Isaid, "You dropped this."

She froze for a moment, and then took the documents from me timidly.

"Sonia, what's wrong with you?" The man who came out of the elevator looked at the secretary andasked, "What's going on with you today? You are either sending the wrong documents or losingthings. Now you're bumping into people. Are you okay?"

The secretary shook her head repeatedly, and her eyes were bloodshot. Evan came out of theelevator, and when he saw that all my attention was on Sonia, he could not help but ask, "Mrs.Roberts, what's wrong?"

I shook my head and looked at Sonia with concern. Her behaviors made me feel a little uneasy.

However, everyone was in a hurry. No one would waste too much time on a person who hadnothing to do with them, so I didn't ask her more questions. I got in the elevator, preparing to leave.

Some of the media reporters were still waiting for Hendrix downstairs, thinking that they might havethe chance to get something out of him when he came out.

Now that I was walking out of the company, it was inevitable that I would meet these reporters faceto face. I thought about it and decided to exit through the company's back door. Suddenly, myphone rang. Valerie was calling.

I answered the phone while looking for the key.

Valerie asked, "Arianna, are you at the Roberts Group now?"

"Yes," I answered and found the car keys. "I just left the office. I'll be home soon. How's Anne? Isshe still having a fever?"

"No, it has subsided for now. She's relapsed a few times. Her fever comes and go es."

"Okay, I'll be right there, you..."

Bang! The loud sound made me stop speaking. I looked back to where the sound came from andmy eyes widened immediately.

A woman lay on the ground, soaked in blood. The dripping blood made it impossible for me to seeher face clearly. I could only tell from her messy blood-stained hair that this was a woman.

I froze, unable to take a step forward because my mind was blank. However, it was clear thatsomeone had jumped off the building.

"Arianna, what's wrong?" Valerie's voice came from the other end of the line. I was still hopelesslylost. I wanted to answer her, but I couldn't say a single word.

My throat was not allowing me to say a word, nor make any sound.

"Someone has jumped off the building. Hurry up and call the police. Someone has jumped off thebuilding!" Someone next to me called out. His voice was trembling and mixed with fear. Yes, it wasfear.

I didn't know how much time had passed. Suddenly I was surrounded by people, and my feet werealmost soaked with blood. I didn't know who had pulled me aside.

There were some things that you would never forget for the rest of your life once you had a glimpseof it. Sometimes, it would even appear in your dreams.

I didn't know which floor a person had to jump off from in order to be smashed into such a bloodymess!
