Chapter 1065

In the end, Linda took out a basin of water from the bathroom and poured it on Rowane. Thus, thefight ended.

Rowane sat on the ground and burst into tears without care for her personal image. She cursedagain and again.

Linda threw the basin aside, looked down at Rowane, and said, "I'll tell you, Rowane, don't thinkthat all good men have to like you because you are pretty. In this world, there are many beautifulwomen, but they don't have everything their way. If something is not yours, control yourself and notsnatch them from others. Otherwise, when people realize your behaviour, they would feel thatyou're despicable and cheap!"

Rowane was weeping badly. She roared at Linda, "I don't care. I'll fight for what I want. Ariannadoesn't want him. She pushed him away! So, who can she blame? How is it my fault? Just becauseI'm good-looking, and I'm talented, so I'm at fault?"

When I heard their argument, I felt like laughing at the ridiculousness. After a pause, I couldn't helpbut say, "Indeed, one cannot control one's romantic feelings. There's nothing wrong with you likingHendrix. So, we should compete fairly. If you like him, you can continue to pursue him. And as forme, I'll try my best to stop you."

"Arianna, are you out of your mind?" Linda looked at me and said helplessly, "Others covet yourman, but you're being so generous?"

I shrugged. "Feelings between a man and a woman are never within one's control. I have absolutetrust in Hendrix. If he can change his affection and fall in love with Rowane, it's his choice. On theother hand, if he does not fancy Rowane and doesn't even give her a chance, it would mean thatmy choice in marrying him was right!"

Linda was stunned at my remark. Then, she nodded. "That's true!"

Rowane glared at me angrily and said, "Arianna, don't be too confident in yourself. You shouldknow, relationships fade easily once the initial passion is over!"

I nodded and didn't deny her words. "Hence, we should compete fairly!"

It was probably because of Rowane's loud sobs that the people in the base came over.

When Sebastian and Hendrix came, they saw Linda and myself standing firmly, as we stared at thedishevelled Rowane on the ground.

From thay scene, it seemed like we were clearly bullying Rowane.

The clever Rowane seized the chance to weep louder. While crying, she complained about howLinda and I beat her and bullied her.novelbin

Hendrix's eyes darkened as he looked at me. My heart jumped for a moment. It wasn't because Iwas afraid that he would blame me for doing that...

But when I saw him looking at me like this, I couldn't help but feel a sense of coldness.

"Linda!" Sebastian said, frowning. "Miss Zanes is a director at the Roberts Group, after all. Aren'tyou both stepping out of line?"

Linda lowered her head and quickly apologized. She said, "I'm sorry, Mr. Milton. I was a littleimpulsive."

After that, she bowed down to Rowane and said sincerely, "Miss Zanes, I sincerely apologize to youfor what happened today. I had been too impulsive. I hope you can forgive me!"

My mind went blank for a moment, and then I cooperated with her.
