Chapter 1064

I didn't know what to say. "But if it wasn't embarrassing, why did you look at me so strangelyearlier?"

She was amused. "I just wanted to remind you. Otherwise, you'd feel awkward when all the peopleat the base see you when you enter! After all, even at a glance, they can tell what's going on!"

I covered the marks on my neck with some setting powder. Unfortunately, it couldn't be covered, and I was a little overwhelmed. "Linda, help me think of a way quickly. The powder can't cover it."

She searched in her bag and handed me a bottle of liquid foundation. She said, "Try using this. I'vebeen staying up late all the time, and this is pretty effective at covering up dark eye bags. Try it!"novelbin

I used a little bit of the liquid, and the effect was really good. Looking at my swollen mouth, I said,"What about my mouth? This can't be covered!"

She suggested, "Just put on a face mask!"

This was an excellent way. "But we're in the base now. Where can we find a mask?"

She chuckled, took out a face mask from her bag, looked at me, and said, "Here, you can have it forthe day."

"Thank you so much!" I said.

When we came out of the bathroom, we bumped into Rowane. She was dressed completely inblack. She looked very cool and had on some heavy make-up.

In addition, when she looked at me, her cold eyes were full of disdain and indifference, which madeher look even more aloof.

When we walked past, she said sarcastically, "You declared that you didn't want it. But discreetly, you still took the initiative to offer your body! That just shows your lack of shame to the extreme. Youare truly one of a kind!"

Her words were filled with malicious mockery.

Linda, of course, knew that Rowane was talking about me. She frowned at Rowane and said, "Thatstill depends on the person who offers their body. Even if someone sends herself completely nakedto Mr. Roberts, I'm afraid he might not even bother taking a look."

"Huh! Who are you referring to?" These words probably poked Rowane's sore spot, and she putdown her facade.

She glared at Linda, and her voice was particularly sharp. "Miss Linda, who are you talking about? You're just a dog! You're a mere secretary and you dare abuse your boss's authority to bully

others?!"

Linda had never been a soft-tempered person. She glared at Rowane and pushed her. "Who areyou calling a dog?"

Rowane pushed her back, bellowing, "You f*cking responded, so you must admit you're the dog!"

Hence, a catfight erupted between the two women. They scratched and slapped at each otherfuriously.

I didn't know how to react at all. When their angry screams grew louder and louder, I came to mysenses but I couldn't squeeze between them at all.

I saw that Linda had been pushed to the ground by Rowane. Rowane continued to pull at Linda'shair and curse her, and that ignited my impulsive fury. Without thinking, I grabbed Rowane's long

hair and pulled at it, and then scratched randomly at her body.

She was not easy to deal with. She used both her hands and feet, kicking, beating, and cursing atus.

Rowane's mouth spewed profanities profusely. They were really unpleasant to hear!

I was not one to spout profanities, so all I said was, "Rowane Zanes, you're a hypocritical b*tch!"

I recalled Naomi classifying Rowane's behaviour as that of a typical hypocritical b*tch. She wouldpretend to be noble and innocent to gain pity and favour, when she was actually despicable atheart.

Hence, despite all the foul profanities Rowane screamed at me, all I repeated was, "Rowane Zanes, you are a hypocritical b*tch!"

In the end, Linda couldn't stand it anymore. She scolded me, "Arianna, you're so silly!"

I didn't know how I managed to hold back my laughter, but all I did was curse Rowane repeatedly.
