Chapter 177

Unbeknownst to them, this first man was Liam.

"Mr. Reath, everything is settled!" Mr. Zimmer said.

Kolten nodded and turned to Liam with an expectant look. "Mr. Cole, we've already made thenecessary arrangements as you instructed. What do you think?"novelbin

Liam took one final puff of his cigarette, then tossed the butt into a nearby trashcan and finallynodded. "Good work!"

With that, he turned and sauntered away, ignoring the five men gaping at him in disbelief as he left.

"Mr. Reath, who is that man?" Mr. Zimmer finally summoned the courage to ask.

Kolten turned to glare at him with a warning look. "Don't ask questions that you shouldn't! Just mindyour own business. Knowing too much won't bring you anywhere. All you need to know is that thisman is far more powerful than you can even imagine. He can easily stomp out all of us, even me,like ants should he see fit!"

The color drained from everyone's faces. Despite being the tycoons of their respective industriesand having years of experience dabbling in business, they still could not help feeling terrified of themysterious man who had left.

Kolten was one of the most elite in his field. Back when the Walkers were still around, they wouldeven dare to get on Kolten's bad side. This was a testament to just how much power he possessed. They could not believe that there existed someone else who wielded power that far surpassedKoltens, so much so that he could squash Kolten like a bug, nor that they would ever have thefortune of meeting such a man!

Liam returned to Stone Mansion to play with Jovie. When Celena returned, she was greeted by thesight of Liam lying on the sofa with Jovie standing on his chest barefoot, giggling. When she sawCelena return, Jovie immediately leaped off her father and waddled toward her mother, grinning."Mom's home!"

Celena picked Jovie up in her arms. Her look of exhaustion was now replaced by a tender smile asshe stared at her beautiful daughter. "Yes, my love, I'm home. What have you been up to the wholeday? Were you a good girl?"

"Of course I was, Mom! I deserve hugs and kisses!"

Liam stood up, and at this moment, Celena realized he was wearing an apron. He took Jovie fromCelena's arms and said, "You must be tired. I made you some chicken soup. Why don't you getwashed up and we'll sit down for dinner?"

With that, Liam placed Jovie down on the sofa and disappeared into the kitchen. Celena and Joviesoon followed him.

Liam was in the middle of serving out the soup he had made. When he saw Celena entering theroom, he thought she was there to help him. "It's alright, love. I've got this. You should sit down andget some rest!"

Celena, however, did not budge. Instead, she leaned against the kitchen counter and continuedstaring at Liam, biting her lip nervously. Finally, after some contemplation, she finally asked him,"Liam, were you the one who had sent over the five suppliers this afternoon? C… Can you tell mehow you got to know them?"

Liam knew Celena would eventually ask him about this, so he was not surprised at all. In fact, hehad already thought of the perfect answer. He smiled and replied, "They're all old family friends.

We've helped them in the past, and they were simply returning the favor. Don't overthink this, okay? You should treasure this opportunity and show everyone what you've got!"

With that, Liam put down the bowl he was holding and pulled Celena into his arms. Celena couldhear his low, husky voice ringing out above her head, "You have to work hard, my love! Remember,I'm just a househusband, and I need you to be the breadwinner for our little family!"

Celena's face flushed as scarlet as a boiled lobster.
