Sherah was also shaking with rage. The color had drained from her face out of fear, but she quicklytook out her own invitation to prove to the soldiers that she was innocent. She wailed, "Please don'tarrest me! My invitation is a real one. Please don't lock up the innocent ones!"
With that, she pointed at Liam and shrieked, "You scumbag! Why don't you go ahead and throwyourself off a cliff?"
Qemal had also received an invitation that looked exactly like Liam's and quickly got onto his kneesto beg for mercy. "Sergeant, I'm innocent! Please don't arrest me! I was deceived! Arrest Liam! He'sthe one who tricked all of us! Arrest that woman next to him, too! She's Celena Stone, and she wasalso involved in this fraud! Please go capture her instead, and spare me…"
With that, he even grabbed hold of one of the soldier's shins and began sobbing as he pleaded formercy.
Everyone was watching with amusement and cast Reginald looks of disdain and taunting. Reginaldfelt so humiliated by this that he wanted to crawl into a cave and never come out again. He couldnot believe the way his family was behaving! Why did they lose their minds over this and end upembarrassing themselves?
This was utterly humiliating! This was the most humiliating moment in his life!
This was even more embarrassing than what happened seven years ago! Even when Celena wascaught sleeping with Liam all those years ago, it had not been so dramatic.
Liam, on the other hand, was calm as opposed to the Stones, who had lost their composure. Hestared at the sergeant and said, "My invitation is not a fake one. You'd better ask your superiors tomake sure!"
Liam was outraged. He had not even wanted to attend this event and had only agreed becauseMalcolm had asked him to. He was the King Pendragon, after all! He would never have wasted timeon such a useless event if not for Malcolm!
Liam had not even bothered to attend the dinner that was hosted by the president of Biskeland,even though the president himself had sent him the invitation. This spoke volumes about how muchhe respected Malcolm!
The sergeant still had his head on. Although he was still outraged by Wasyl's claims, he did notwant to get into trouble by arresting someone he should not have, so he scoffed and replied, "Verywell then! I'll confirm with my superior, but you're going to pay for what you did in the end anyway!"
With that, the sergeant pressed a button on his earpiece and reported everything that hadhappened to his superior, who was on the other end of the line.
A few moments later, the color drained from his face. His expression changed from one of fury topanic. Then, he straightened up and nodded furiously. "What? Yes, sir! Yes, I understand, sir!"novelbin

Wasyl immediately approached him. "His invitation is a fake, isn't it, Sergeant? I knew it! There's noway someone like him could've gotten his hands on an invitation to such an exclusive event! Howdare he even show up here? You should punish him and make sure he doesn't get away with this!"
