Chapter 119

Where Celena and Liam were staying was called a cottage. However, it was actually a place wherethe Stones kept their pets. They changed it temporarily when Celena was about to return.

Of course, it was because of Cheryl and Sherah. It was deliberately done to humiliate Celena.

However, Celena and Liam did not mind. At that moment, Liam and Celena were playing with Jovieat the cottage.

Jovie had been extremely frightened at the dining hall earlier. It took the couple a long time beforethey managed to cheer Jovie up.

The cottage was filled with Jovie's musical, joyful laughter.

The cottage was at the furthest and most remote end of the Stone Mansion. The butler jogged allthe way there. By the time he got to the door, he was breathing heavily.

He shouted, "L-Liam, Mr. Stone asks for you to go to the door to accept the invitation." He panted.

Liam put Jovie on his shoulders without sparing him a glance and said coldly, "Tell Reginald I'm notgoing unless he comes to invite me himself."

Who was Liam? He was the commander-in-chief of the Pendragon Warriors and the head of theCole family.

The Stone family had infuriated him over and over again, and he would never let them off the hookso easily.

Celena was confused as she looked at Liam after she heard what the butler said. She asked,"What's going on, Liam? What invitation?"

Liam smiled and said, "It's nothing. Ignore them."

He held Jovie's hands tightly and walked around the cottage. He was beaming as he said, "Wow,Jovie is so tall! Let's ride!"

Jovie sat on Liam's shoulders, full of excitement. She was laughing heartily and cheering, "Wow!I've grown up! I'm taller than Dad and Mom now! Dad, go faster! This is so fun! I want to ride ahorse!"

At first, Celena was still in a daze. However, she snapped back to reality by Jovie's and Liam'slaughter. She forgot that the butler was still waiting at the door and quickly ran behind Liam. Shewas worried that Jovie would fall.

"Slow down, Liam!" Celena called out.

The butler was panting as he looked into the cottage. His expression darkened when he saw thatLiam and Celena were ignoring him. Then, he became angry and returned to tell Reginald aboutwhat had just happened.

By the time the butler jogged back to the entrance, he was panting again.novelbin

Reginald had a sullen face when he saw that only the butler had come over. Displeased, heimmediately asked, "Why are you alone? Where's Liam? Didn't I tell you to ask him to come?"

Liam pissed off the butler, so the butler fanned the flames and said, "Liam was too insolent, sir. Hecompletely ignored me when I went over earlier. He even had the nerve to say that he wanted youto invite him yourself. Otherwise, he won't come. Who the hell does he think he is? How dare he beso rude!"

All the Stone family at the door was angry.

How could Liam act so insolently? How dare he shamelessly ask Reginald to invite him.

They had already forgotten that Reginald had personally gone to invite Celena and Liam back intothe Stone family.

They started criticizing him, saying, "This is absurd! How dare Liam ask for Reginald to invite him tothe entrance? Who does he think he is?"

"You're right! Mr. Lynch personally had someone to deliver these invitations. Not only has he notbeen here to receive them, but he had the cheek to make such an absurd request. How ungratefulof him!"

"You're right! There are two boxes of them. That's enough for all of us to attend!"

"Reginald, you can't go soft on him this time. He's too arrogant and insolent. This is the StoneMansion, for heaven's sake."

Reginald was very furious as well while he listened to the others cursing at Liam. That wasespecially true since Lieutenant Andrews was still present. He was incredibly embarrassed.

With a sullen expression and a frosty tone, he said, "This is outrageous! You guys over there, tieLiam up and bring him here. What an ungrateful ass!"
