Chapter 819

In a private hospital in Capitus.

Jasper received a video from Kevin featuring Bradley. The latter persistently approached coupleshaving their wedding photos taken, asking if they knew what love was.

Jasper watched only a part of it, closed the video with a disdainful expression, and walked to Esther’sbedside. Her face was pale and lifeless. After a while, he left the room.

The hospital room was a suite with a living room outside. Oliver, Gabriel, and Agatha sat on the sofa.

Jasper cleared his throat and spoke gently. “I have a suggestion, but I’m not sure if I should mention it.”

Oliver looked at Jasper and said, “Go ahead.”

“I suggest we bring Esther back to where she should be.” Jasper looked at the three people in front ofhim and explained his idea with a calm gaze and composed voice. “If we wake up Esther now, the pastpain will still be there. I think it might be better if we consult a psychologist and erase these memories.”

Gabriel glanced at Oliver and inquired in a serious tone, “Jasper, erasing memories can only betemporary. All information about Esther is available on the Internet. What if we erase her memories, and she becomes confused when she receives contradictory information in the future?”

“I’ve considered this issue as well,” Jasper said as he sat down, his gaze gentle. “What happened issupposed to be part of Esther’s memories. But we know that she can’t handle all this, considering hercurrent mental state.

“My suggestion is to erase everything related to Esther’s time at the Ansteys and her involvement withBradley. We return Esther’s fate to its starting point. Based on our ability, we can totally create afabricated backstory for her.

“We can distinguish Esther, whose memory is erased, and the real Esther. We can say that originally, she had a twin, but they had to be separated because their parents worked as DEA agents.

“They shared the same name, and she’s now the older sister, a police officer, or something else. Hersole purpose in life is to find the drug traffickers who killed her parents…”

Jasper’s words made Oliver furrow his brows slightly. He looked at Agatha and gently asked, “Dr.Foster, is this plan feasible?”

“I understand Jasper’s intent. Since Esther’s funeral has been held, the idea is to make the best out ofa bad situation. We’ll suppress the dominant personality and keep the secondary personality.” Agathapondered slightly. “However, it’s a massive undertaking. An entirely new person can’t just appear out ofthin air, especially with Felix and the Internet. If Esther ever questions her past, she might discover hertrue identity.”

Jasper sighed. “I only wish Esther can have some freedom, even if it’s just for a short time. In fact, I’vebeen thinking, if she hadn’t fallen in love with Bradley back then, would her life have been sotumultuous today?”

Gabriel took a deep breath. “Let’s proceed with Mr. Searle’s suggestion.”

Oliver nodded.

Agatha said, “I’ll prepare the ointment to heal her physical wounds.”

As a divine physician, Agatha knew better than anyone that Esther’s physical injuries could be easilytreated. However, the wounds in her heart could never be healed.

“Then we need to create an identity for her.”

“She grew up abroad, and when she thought she could reunite with her parents, she discovered theydied at the hands of drug traffickers.”novelbin
