Chapter 794

“Esther is not your wife. She is her own person.”

Kevin approached from the side, saying, “Bradley, do you think that in Esther’s final moments, shemight have been relieved she divorced you? If not, as her husband, you’d have had legal rights tohandle her funeral. I believe she’d have preferred anything over any connection to you.”

To keep Bradley away from the coffin, Jasper’s big security team prevented him from approachingdespite his repeated attempts. Esther was just steps away from him, yet she felt impossibly distant, forever out of reach.

Bradley seethed with anger, his eyes cold as ice. No matter how desperate or frenzied his actions, hecouldn’t reach his beloved.

Kevin gazed at Bradley, perplexed by his irrational behavior. After all, Bradley didn’t love Esther.Whether she was alive or dead, what did it matter to him?

Bradley would never have imprisoned Esther if he had a trace of true human emotion in his heart. Hewouldn’t have locked her up in a lightless secret room or trapped her in a crystal coffin.

At that moment, Oliver entered hurriedly.

Jasper, filled with grief, told Oliver, “Mr. Quill, I’m so sorry. It’s my lack of planning with Kevin that keptus from rescuing Esther. We never anticipated…”

Kevin added with regret, “Mr. Quill, we’re truly sorry. Esther was just a minute away from escapingpermanently. Just one more minute!”

Oliver’s eyes looked sorrowful as he asked, “Can you tell me what happened?”novelbin

Kevin turned to explain to Oliver in front of Bradley, “Mr. Quill, I found Esther in Warner Manor. Bradleyhad imprisoned her in a secret room. Thankfully, Clark woke up and told me the location of the secretroom. Otherwise, we might never have found Esther in this lifetime.

“It was so hard for us to locate Esther, and she had finally managed to escape from Bradley. But…”

Kevin turned away, wiping his tears.

“Bradley had hackers track Esther through the national network and then repeatedly rammed her carwith his car.”

Jasper’s eyes reddened, and he sobbed. “Esther’s car went off a cliff due to the collision, and a firebroke out because of a fuel leak.”

Listening to Jasper and Kevin, Oliver strode toward Bradley.

“Bradley, you indeed imprisoned Esther?!”

Bradley’s eyes were bloodshot, veins bulging on his neck as he retorted sternly, “Hadn’t it been for you,why would I have imprisoned her?!”

It was because someone was supporting Esther that he wanted to keep her from leaving and had toimprison her!

“You imprisoned Esther, and you claim it’s because of me? Esther had the Quills and so many peoplewho loved her. You forced her to her death. If she didn’t have so many people who loved her, wouldshe still be alive? Oh, wait, she’s not alive anymore!”

Jasper and Kevin couldn’t hold back their tears.

Bradley roared like a provoked lion, “Esther is my wife. Why are you all trying so hard to separate us?”

Oliver sneered. “You and Esther are divorced! The court ruled that you’re divorced! Everyone in theworld knows that you’re unworthy of being Esther’s husband. Only you still don’t know! Do you knowwhat a wife is? You don’t! Do you know what love is? You don’t! You’re just an emotionless monster!”
