Chapter 781

Esther’s every word was like a knife through Bradley’s heart.

He abruptly stood up and glanced at her coldly before exiting the secret room, leaving her alone.

Esther watched Bradley leave and huffed in frustration. She no longer understood his intentions andhad no intention of cooperating with him.

When she looked at his handsome face, there was no attraction, only disgust. She detested Bradleyand herself.

Mandy was preparing to go out when she noticed Bradley descending with a hostile air. “Bradley?”

Bradley saw Mandy with her purse and asked, “Where are you going?”

Mandy took out her phone and casually replied, “I received a call from my mother at the sanatorium. Ineed to go there.”

“I’m coming with you,” Bradley insisted, leaving no room for discussion.

Mandy didn’t understand why Bradley wanted to accompany her but didn’t object. The driver wasalready waiting, so she got into the car alongside Bradley.

Mandy put her phone away and enjoyed the scenery outside the window.

Meanwhile, Bradley was engrossed in his work, which had increased due to Oliver’s attack.

As he worked diligently, Esther’s words about Jasper echoed in his mind. Suddenly, he closed histablet in anger and turned toward Mandy.

“Mandy,” he called out.

Mandy hesitated for a moment before looking at Bradley and asking softly, “Is there something I canhelp you with?”

“Who is more handsome between me and Jasper?”

Mandy realized that Esther must have said something to spark a competitive streak in Bradley. Shereplied without hesitation, “You’re definitely the more handsome one.”

Bradley’s dark gaze softened slightly upon hearing her response. “For example?”

Mandy thought, ‘What woman wouldn’t say that Bradley is handsome unless they have some kind ofmental disorder and poor eyesight.’

“You’re so handsome that there’s no need for examples.”

Mandy muttered inwardly, ‘What’s the use of being good-looking? You’re sick!’

Fortunately, she hadn’t developed deep feelings for Bradley. Otherwise, she would have shared thesame fate as Esther.

“You don’t think Jasper is handsome?” Bradley asked.

Mandy pondered and said slowly, “I don’t find Mr. Searle handsome. You’re the most handsome, andyou’re just like the dominating male leads in romantic novels.”

“Dominating male leads?”

“Yes, the kind of male lead in romance novels that young girls adore,” she elaborated.novelbin

As they conversed, they reached the sanatorium where Liora was staying. Mandy got out of the carwhile Bradley remained seated.

Mandy stood outside the car and called out, “Bradley?”

Bradley said coldly, “We’re heading back to the manor in half an hour.”

“Alright.”

Mandy walked into the sanatorium with her purse. She thought that even if Bradley was a dominatingmale lead, he was also the kind found in abusive novels.

A normal man wouldn’t treat Esther like that, would he? Did he really think he was cool acting like that?

“Mom.”
