Chapter 762

“Jolene, I know you’re hurting, and it’s tough for you to accept all this, but why… Why did you getinvolved in this? Do you realize that once you start, your life is ruined forever?” Esther said.

Jolene smiled bitterly. “I know, but it’s too late!”

“I’m calling the police right now!” Esther grabbed her phone and dialed 911.

Suddenly, Jolene clutched her stomach and chuckled, looking at Esther. “Call for an ambulance!”

A strong smell of blood slowly filled the room. Esther noticed fresh blood on Jolene’s dress, and hershock prompted her to rush to Jolene, nervously asking, “W-What have you done, Jolene?!”

“I didn’t want to carry this burden. I’ve tried countless methods. I’ve even been on the operating table, but I found out I couldn’t do it. Her father is a scumbag, but she’s innocent!”

It was only then that Esther noticed abortion pills in the trash can. She picked up the medicine box andasked in panic, “Did you take these pills? How could you be so reckles—”

Before Esther could finish her sentence, Jolene suddenly grabbed a syringe from the table and stabbedit into Esther’s neck. Feeling the sharp pain, Esther clutched her neck and turned stiffly to look atJolene.

Jolene lowered her voice with tearful eyes and apologized, “Esther, I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean todeceive you! He said that as long as I got you to come here, he would help me seek revenge!”

“He?” The drug started to take effect, and Esther felt her head spinning. Who was he?

Struggling to stay conscious, she pulled the syringe from her neck and staggered toward the hotel’sexit.

“Jas… Jasper…” Esther’s phone fell to the carpet. “Save… me…”novelbin

Seeing Esther heading for the door, Jolene stood up from the couch. At that moment, a blood packetfell from her leg.

“Esther…” Jolene tried to support Esther, but the latter angrily pushed her away.

“Jasper!”

Esther’s vision faded. She felt like floating on a cloud, losing touch with reality. To regainconsciousness, she bit her tongue, creating a burst of pain that extended her moments of clarity.

“Jasper…”

Jasper heard Esther’s cry outside the door and knocked softly. “Esther, what’s wrong?”

Esther clung to the wall and stumbled over to the wardrobe. Suddenly, the wardrobe door swung open.A hand reached out from the darkness and pulled the unsteady Esther into the dark closet.

Esther used the last of her strength to open her eyes. Fear filled her gaze as she looked at the familiarface before her. Instantly, all her strength vanished.

“Bradley…” she muttered.

‘Why won’t you let me go?’ she wondered.
