Chapter 751

Bradley clenched his fists as he walked toward Esther. With each step, Esther’s heart raced.

Jasper and Kevin instinctively positioned themselves before Esther, ready to shield her from any harmBradley might cause.

“Esther,” Bradley said casually, his expression terrifying. “In my world, divorce doesn’t exist, onlywidowhood. If you choose to divorce me, you’ll face the consequences.”

Jasper raised an eyebrow and asked coldly, “Bradley, are you threatening Esther?”

Bradley sneered and said, “It seems that someone here can understand plain words.”

“Whether you threaten me or plan to imprison me, I will still divorce you, Bradley,” Esther declared, herfists clenched. A newfound determination shone in her eyes. She wouldn’t yield to Bradley’s wishes. She was resolute.

“Do as you please.

“I’d rather die than bear your name in this world.

“I’d rather die than be known as Bradley Warner’s wife.”

Bradley clapped lightly, saying, “Remember, this is your choice.”

With each step he took away, it felt like a knife piercing Esther’s heart.

As Bradley disappeared from view, the strength Esther had gathered dissipated like a deflating balloon.

“Esther, you did well.” Kevin looked at her reassuringly. “Dealing with Bradley, you can’t be soft-heartedanymore.”

Kevin was actually in a constant state of regret. He regretted that he hadn’t kept the details of Bradley’sliver cancer hidden when it was diagnosed. If he hadn’t been so meddlesome, Esther wouldn’t haveencountered this calamity, and Felix wouldn’t have developed selective mutism due to family tensions.

Jasper reminded him, “Kevin, take care of Clark. I’ll send Esther and Dr. Foster back.”

“Alright.”

Esther and Jasper waited outside as Agatha changed her clothes.

Tears welled up in Esther’s eyes as she looked at Jasper, expressing her pain, “Jasper, did you seewhat Bradley said and did?”

“Esther, that may not necessarily mean it was him—”

“No, it has to be him,” Esther interrupted, wringing her fingers. She couldn’t shake the thought of theday’s car accident. She vividly recalled that the cement truck had intentionally crashed into Clark’s car, originally aimed at her seat. It was Clark who had quickly steered to save her, Felix, and Gabriel.

‘What if… What if…’novelbin

Esther couldn’t bear to think of the alternative if Clark hadn’t sacrificed himself. She and Felix wouldhave died. Bradley didn’t care about their lives.

“Esther, if you have doubts, I can investigate the accident details for you,” Jasper offered.

Esther shook her head firmly. “Jasper, don’t do it. I don’t want you in harm’s way.”
