Chapter 738

In response, Kevin asked, “What does she owe you?”

Bradley’s gaze fixed on Esther’s extensive medical records. His expression was chilling as he uttered,“She owes me a life without her involvement.”

Esther had disrupted his life recklessly, causing it to take a drastic turn. She had pushed him into thissolitary state. Now, she even contemplated ending it all. He wouldn’t allow it. Absolutely not!

“Unfortunately, time can’t be turned back.”

Kevin recalled the novel he had just finished. If time could reverse, and Esther could return to 18, herlife would have been vastly different if she hadn’t fallen for Bradley but had chosen to be with Jasper, who truly loved her.novelbin

“Bradley, I understand your resentment toward Mr. Thomas for pushing you and Esther together. Buthave you ever considered that your lack of decisiveness at the start played a role in this?

“If you had firmly refused to go along, Mr. Thomas wouldn’t have pressured you.

“You could have told him you didn’t love Esther, that you wouldn’t love her then or in the future. Youcould have remained her friend, not her husband.”

“Kevin!” Bradley’s cold stare silenced the chattering Kevin. “I want Esther to live.”

Kevin whispered, “The moment you used your own daughters to force Esther into submission, you nolonger deserved to be by her side.”

Bradley paid Kevin no mind and returned to Esther’s ward.

Outside, a group of hired mercenaries still stood guard. Upon seeing Bradley, they instinctivelyprepared for a potential confrontation.

At that moment, Oliver entered the room with an elderly man, his hair completely white.

Bradley felt a sense of panic when he saw them.

As the elderly man entered the room, tears welled up in his eyes at the sight of Esther playing withFelix. He gently said, “Esther looks so much like Faye when she was young.”

“Esther, this is Mr. Gabriel Sinclair,” Oliver introduced.

Esther quickly got off the bed and respectfully greeted, “Hello, Mr. Sinclair.”

Gabriel smiled at Esther and praised, “Esther, we met a long time ago. I’ve also brought a photo.”

He took out a picture and handed it to Esther, who accepted it and gazed at it.

The little girl in the photo was herself, and the other three people were Thomas, Martin Anstey, Billy’sfather, and Gabriel.

“This is?”

Gabriel sat across from Esther and expressed deep regret, saying, “Esther, I’m sorry. I always thoughtthat with Thomas and Martin’s support, you would thrive in the Ansteys. I never expected that you…”

Oliver softly asked, “Mr. Sinclair, could you please tell Esther what happened back then?”

This was what Esther and Oliver both yearned to know.

If it weren’t for the Pendletons’ investigation, Oliver would have never discovered the connectionbetween Gabriel and Faye. He had no knowledge of Faye’s past either.

“Ah…” Gabriel sighed and continued. “Esther takes after her parents. Her father was an undercoverDEA agent. After completing his mission, I arranged for them to work elsewhere for their safety.

“To sever all ties with the past, they had to go into hiding, waiting for the right time to return to their truework positions. But who would have thought that after living a peaceful life for several years andbelieving everything had settled down, the drug traffickers from back then would find them…”
