Chapter 684

X’s robotic voice echoed in Mandy’s ears, making her wonder why X knew her whereabouts so well.

“Bradley has her imprisoned in a crystal coffin on a small island in Southeast Varnusia,” Mandy replied.

Upon hearing that, X asked, “Can you rescue her?”

“I can’t,” Mandy explained. “I didn’t see any boats near the island, and there’s no way to communicatewith the outside world.”

“Focus on Esther’s safety. No need to intentionally worsen the situation between Bradley and her,” Xsaid.

Hesitating, Mandy asked, “So… what should I do?”

X scoffed. “Do I need to spell it out for you?”

“Boss, I suspect Bradley wants the Pendletons’ covert forces…”

“Give them to him,” X replied.novelbin

Mandy asked in shock, “Give them to him?”

Why should she give them away? Wouldn’t it be better to keep them for herself?

“You want them?” X asked.

Mandy remained silent.

X sneered. “The Quills, Fosters, and Lockwoods are all after the Pendletons. Do you think you canretain control over the Pendletons’ covert forces now? Think bigger!”

Until X hung up, Mandy couldn’t quite grasp X’s thoughts. She was also curious about X’s identity. Howdid X seem to have all the answers?

Taking a deep breath, Mandy returned to the living room and found Bradley asleep on the sofa. Shehesitated about covering him with a thin blanket but ultimately did so.

As she draped the blanket over him, he suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her onto the sofa.“Trying to please me?”

Mandy awkwardly smiled and replied, “No.”

“We’ll visit the detention center tomorrow.”

Bradley released Mandy’s hand, wiped his fingers with a tissue, and sneered at her.

Observing Bradley’s disdainful attitude, Mandy couldn’t help but think, ‘You didn’t mind being withEsther in the coffin, but holding my hand disgusts you?!’

“Alright.”

Bradley’s cold gaze locked onto Mandy’s face as he mocked, “Don’t even think about rescuing Esther.”

Due to her strong dislike for Esther, Mandy couldn’t fathom why she would want to save Esther. Therewas nothing more she hoped for than Esther and Bradley’s downfall.

“I wouldn’t dare, Bradley,” she assured.

Bradley stood up, towering over Mandy, and taunted her with his piercing eyes.

Mandy shivered, wondering if Bradley could somehow recognize her as Liliane.

No, that couldn’t be possible. Bradley couldn’t have such a keen eye!

“Mandy, do you want to be a savior, or do you want to end up dead?” he asked.

Mandy remained silent.

“Remember what you should and shouldn’t do.” With that, Bradley left the villa.

Mandy stared in the direction Bradley had gone, wishing for lightning to strike him out of anger. Shehad assumed Bradley would stay in any random hotel in Capitus, not return to the small island inSoutheast Varnusia.

Bradley entered the basement and lay down in the coffin with Esther as if it were second nature!

The icy scents of snow and pine from Bradley surrounded Esther, causing her to stiffen instantly.

His hot breath, infused with a chilling intent to kill, whispered softly in her ears.
