Chapter 676

The calls didn’t connect, making Mandy restless as she paced around the room. She didn’t care muchabout Liora. After all, Liora wasn’t her real mother.

What truly concerned her was the confrontation with Bradley, who had become dangerouslyunpredictable. Would he treat her as he did Esther?

As she pondered, memories of her past life as Liliane and the unforgivable deeds she had committedcrossed her mind.

However, she had now transformed into Mandy. She hadn’t done anything to harm Bradley, evendonating her liver to him. If Bradley had any conscience, he shouldn’t harm her, right?

But could she really rely on common sense to understand Bradley’s current state?

Moreover, Mandy couldn’t fathom Bradley’s motive for bringing her there. Was it to provoke Esther? Asshe contemplated, she couldn’t find any answers.novelbin

She also couldn’t understand why X wanted her to establish a connection with Bradley. Did X intend tocreate discord between Esther and Bradley despite their already strained relationship? Or perhaps… Xhoped she could find an opportunity to free Esther?

She felt like she had jumped from one problem into another. She had truly landed herself in a difficultsituation.

Mandy wasn’t particularly brave. She couldn’t sleep, her phone had no signal, and she was isolatedfrom the outside world. She sat by the window, staring at the sea, her mind filled with unease. Howcould she escape from this predicament?

Meanwhile, Bradley checked Mandy’s behavior on his phone. Seeing that she appeared to grasp thesituation, he smirked.

He left her alone and returned to the basement where Esther was confined.

Hearing Bradley’s approaching footsteps, Esther involuntarily trembled. She was overwhelmed withsorrow. Despite her long-lasting love for Bradley, he had consistently treated her with cruelty, except forthe brief warmth she received when she feigned memory loss.

“Esther.” Bradley’s voice, barely more than a whisper, echoed in Esther’s ears. Her bloodshot eyesremained fixed on him. She wanted to ask when he would release her but knew that any questionwould be met with evasion. He seemed like a god, determined to control every aspect of her life.

“What would you like to say?” Esther, wrapped in a blanket, shivered as she looked at Bradley.

When Bradley reached out toward Esther’s face, she instinctively dodged, making Bradley’s eyes flashwith a chilling intensity. He then grabbed her hair and kissed her forcefully.

Why couldn’t she ever learn her lesson? Why couldn’t she try to make him happy, please him, andsubmit to his desires?

As Bradley kissed Esther, her face turned red. She gripped his collar tightly, her breath desperate asshe begged, “Bradley, can I just tell Felix that I’m safe?”

“Only that?” Bradley asked coldly.

Esther nodded vigorously. “I promise. I just want to reassure Felix I’m fine and tell him to listen toGrandma Agatha…”

Bradley choked Esther’s neck, his bloodthirsty eyes gleaming with cruel intent. “Esther! How dare youuse Felix to threaten me?!”
