Chapter 663

Liora slapped Mandy’s hand and asked, her anger barely restrained, “It was you, right?”

Without hesitation, Mandy admitted, “Yes, it was me! I reported them! I gathered the evidence! What?Is that not acceptable?”

Liora looked at Mandy as if she were a stranger before slapping her face. “They’re your family!”

Clutching her face, Mandy gazed up and questioned with a smile, “Family? My father sent me overseasas a child to fend for myself, all for his own status. Can he truly be called family?”

And as for her half-brother, Chadwick, what sort of person was he?

Prison was the only fitting punishment for them!

When Liora contemplated the prospect of her lover and Chadwick facing prison and the potentialdownfall of everything they had worked for over the years, she couldn’t care less about the guests.

She revealed a decades-old secret, “Mandy, Chadwick is your biological brother!”

Mandy widened her eyes upon hearing Liora’s revelation and glanced at Chadwick. Her real brother?Did she mean the kind who shared both parents with her?

Chadwick turned his gaze from Richard to Liora and asked coldly, “What are you saying?”

Marcus approached the Pendletons and sneered. “Pendleton, what a romantic you are, willing tosacrifice your reputation for the woman you love!”

Richard surveyed the Quills, Fosters, Lockwoods, and others from smaller families that relied on him.He understood that his days were numbered. He had not anticipated such a complete defeat. He had

been under the impression that by offering incentives to these people, he could control and trust themto handle all the unpleasant tasks for him.

He never expected such an absurd failure.

Richard started, “Marcus, everyone knows that I am—”

Marcus interrupted him sternly, “Pendleton, you already possess everything that countless people canonly dream of in their lifetimes. Why did you have to resort to such actions?”

“What do you know?” Richard appeared ready to confront his impending fate. He continued. “You wereborn with a silver spoon in your mouth and can never understand me. To the victor go the spoils! Iaccept full responsibility! But my actions had nothing to do with my two children or her!”

Marcus looked at Richard with unwavering righteousness. “The law will deliver a fair judgment.”

Jolene had panicked when the police appeared.

She had wanted to rush to Chadwick and confront this sudden turn of events alongside him. However, when she learned of Chadwick’s involvement in drug production and trafficking, her legs felt as heavyas lead.

‘It can’t be true! It has to be a mistake! Chadwick is my savior. How could he be involved in drugtrafficking? No, it can’t be!’ she thought.

Chadwick knew of her intense aversion to drug traffickers and her hatred of drugs. How could he?

Jolene hurried forward to shield Chadwick and asked tremblingly, “Chadwick, is it true? Are you really adrug trafficker?”

Chadwick remained silent. He never expected that he—the number one bachelor in Capitus—wouldfind himself in this situation.

“Jolene!” Chadwick looked at the elegantly dressed Jolene with indifference. “Do you truly believe I’myour savior?”

Subconsciously touching her abdomen, Jolene nervously asked, “What… What do you mean?”novelbin
