Chapter 587

Chapter 587

Esther looked up with tears on her long, curled eyelashes. Those tears seemed even more pitiful andmoving in the cafe’s gentle lighting.

“But…” Esther could not agree to Chadwick’s request. She could not possibly marry him.

Mandy smirked mockingly. “Esther, didn’t you say you’d do anything to save Bradley? It’s only marryingmy brother, but you refuse? Your love isn’t that deep, after all!”

Tears welled up in Esther’s eyes as she shook her head. “No, it’s not like that.”

“Nevermind. I’ve shown you a clear path. If you don’t want to take it, then don’t come begging me. Ican’t help you!” Mandy picked up her purse and left the cafe.

She got into her car, casually tossing her valuable limited-edition handbag inside. Then she leaned onthe steering wheel and laughed.

It was so amusing!

Mandy felt that undergoing plastic surgery to transform from Liliane Anstey into Mandy Pendleton wasabsolutely worth it! The joy of watching the drama up close was something only she could understand.

She wiped away the tears of laughter from her eyes and looked at Esther in the cafe with mockery. Shewas confident that Esther would choose to marry Chadwick to save Bradley. This grand drama hadalready begun, and she just needed to prepare a seat to watch it unfold.novelbin

Mandy had left for a long time before Esther finally managed to stand up from the floor shakily. She satback in her chair and cradled the coffee cup before her.

The heat from the coffee cup could not warm her cold heart. Was there really no other way? Did shehave no choice but to marry Chadwick?

Esther covered her face in anguish, and tears of despair dripped through her fingers.

After searching for a long time, Jasper finally found Esther. He stood at the cafe entrance and watchedas Esther cried alone. Once he mustered the strength to control his emotions, he approached her andpulled her into his embrace.

Jasper gently patted her back like one would comfort a child. “Esther, don’t cry.”

Esther slowly regained her composure as she took in Jasper’s faint, minty scent. “Jasper, must I reallybeg Mr. Pendleton?”

Was she going to beg a repulsive man like Chadwick over Mandy’s liver?

“As your friend, I don’t want you to do this, nor do I want you to beg him,” Jasper said.

He sat down on another chair after seeing that Esther had stopped crying. “But if Mandy’s liver is trulythe only match for Bradley, then we should go and ask him.”

Esther’s heart sank. “But… am I really going to marry him?”

Jasper looked at Esther with a determined gaze and said, “Given it’s a family like the Pendletons, itwon’t be settled immediately, even if one’s getting married. Why don’t we pretend to agree, keepChadwick in check, and have Mandy donate her liver to Bradley first?

“After the liver transplant surgery, we can tear up the agreement with Chadwick Of course, there arerisks in doing it that way. The best solution is for the Pendletons to no longer pose a threat to you.”
